Featured Newcastle Upon Tyne Hotels

Choose from our range of Newcastle family hotels located both in the heart of the city and its surrounding areas and get the most out of your break in this bustling city.

Newcastle is England's northernmost city and is the principal city of the North East. Located on the River Tyne, Newcastle developed as one of the powerhouses of the coal mining industry.

The city is served by a mainline train station and an international airport, making it easily accessible from all over the UK. Arriving into Newcastle, you are immediately struck by some of the region's most iconic views, whether it's the stunning view of the bridges over the Tyne as you approach on the train or Gateshead's Angel of the North greeting motorists northbound on the A1.

Newcastle has loads to offer in the way of the arts, shopping and nightlife. Pay a visit to the Hancock Museum - or if paintings are more your thing - the Laing Art Gallery.

Shop till you drop in Eldon Square and Northumberland Street and do not miss out on Fenwick's window if you're lucky enough to be here in the Christmas period.

Newcastle is famous for its nightlife: enjoy a bottle of the famous Newcastle Brown Ale on the Quayside or get glammed up and brave the Bigg Market. A night out "on the toon" is like nothing you will have experienced before!

Sportswise, there is really only one sport the Geordies are interested in: football. Get along to St. James's Park and mingle with Newcastle United's fanatical fans.

Whether you're coming for a city break with family or just to enjoy the city, choose one of our Newcastle family hotels and you will not be disappointed.

Nicely refurbished rooms and friendly staff

I have used Holiday Inn Gosforth Park many times for business travel and it has yet to disappoint me. The staff are very friendly and give service with a smile. The refurbished rooms are nicely [More] appointed and very comfortable. [Less]
Excellent best nights sleep!

Lovely hotel but could do with the bathroom/shower updating. [Less]
Better than expected
By FlosMum
Everything was fantastic except for two things (which are purely down to personal preference/experience). 1. The Ringtons coffee is horrible - definitely need a better quality coffee for this [More] standard hotel. 2. The quilt on my bed didn't seem wide enough - it didn't drape down the sides and, therefore, did not provide sufficient cover for two of us. I have a feeling it was the wrong size for that bed. Otherwise, I couldn't fault this place. Very happy customer. [Less]

Comfortable bed and great service
By Bobster
Recommend for any stay in Newcastle. Within easy reach of city centre. Comfortable with all amenities. Friendly staff with excellent breakfast facilities and bar / lounge area. Not the greatest view [More] from the bedroom though backing onto a building area, the local post office and railway. But very good sound proofing and blackout curtains meant a good nights sleep. Unexpected trip
By joy67
We came to Newcastle due to our motorhome breaking down on our way to dunbar. The garage rang and booked us in the hotel as they said the motorhome would not be fixed until the monday. The hotel [More] was very clean and the staff were very pleasant , friendly and went out of their way to help us. The room was very clean and had all that we needed. i.e hairdryer shampoo and bodywash and we could have requested shaver, iron, toothbrushes and toothpaste if it was needed. The bed was very comfortable and had the right amount of pillows. The bathroom was spotless. annot fault the staff so 'Good on you all'. The breakfast was good but could be luke warm depending on what time you went down. Overall the stay was very good. The hotel was also near newcastle and all other attractions. [Less]

The only thing that puts me off this hotel is the location. It's wasn't situated as close to the Metrocentre as I thought it might have been. [Less]
