Featured Northampton Hotels

Make our Holiday Inn® Northampton hotels your base for exploring the architectural gems of this ancient city and the collection of stately homes in the surrounding Northamptonshire countryside.

Our Northampton hotels make it easy to explore Northampton, a historic English market town in the throes of a booming renaissance. With a history that dates back to the Bronze Age, Northampton is home to one of the last remaining round churches in the country. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was built in 1100 to resemble a Jerusalem church with the same name. Take a stroll to Derngate street past the decorative Northampton Guildhall, an impressive Victorian Gothic building from the 1860s. Stop in at 78 Derngate to admire its stunning Art Nouveau interior, the work of noted Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. At the bottom of Derngate is Becket's Park, close to our hotels in Northampton. The park's mighty trees provide shade on sunny days while the River Nene drifts quietly by.

The rural countryside of Northamptonshire nearby is dotted with church spires and magnificent homes, all within easy driving distance of our Northampton hotels. Visit Althorp, birthplace of Diana, Princess of Wales, and the Spencers' ancestral home since the early 16th century. Althorp is open to the public in summer, and its priceless collection of van Dyck paintings alone is worth a visit. Spend evenings in Northampton at the theater in Derngate. The pubs and restaurants nearby are a popular place for drinking and dining on weekends. For Asian cuisine try Wellingborough Road, where Indian and Vietnamese restaurants vie for local supremacy.

Book one of our Northampton hotels and explore Northampton and the surrounding region. Within thirty miles you can find historic homes, ancient forests and remarkable architecture.

This is one of the best hotels in the area and much preferred over other hotels in the area. Fully recommend it. [Less]

enjoyed the stay, would stay again little slow on check and check out, down to a lack of front desk staff, but other than that was clean and comfortable. [Less]
Decent big beds and good quality pillows, but the air con sounds rough
By William52
The holiday inn Northampton sits just outside the town and was a decent location for a weekend visit to family. The reception staff and friendly and the check in is swift and efficient. A quick [More] swipe of your card and you've got the key. The room was clean, with two large double beds and a decent size bathroom with a bath (Just in case, but I never bother until I don't have a choice) The shower was good with quickly responding controls but it was at the opposite end to the bath so when the bath starting filling up with water, I had realised I was stood on the pop up plug... The room looked over the park and river at the rear and was really peaceful. I didn't use any of the facilities in the evening, but passing through reception on leaving for dinner, I noticed some business like people dining and drinking alone. On my return well past midnight, I was delighted to see the reception doors still open. The room was chilly in the evening and I proceeded to turn one of the 2 heaters that hung on the wall. The one under the window looked original to what is really a 20 odd year old building. The new one on the other wall looked more capable, but that didn't work, so I proceeded to mess about with old one. When I did work out the controls of what once was a full air conditioning unit, but the cooling button was broken so I assumed that it would only heat. The unit, which is about 4ft long by 3ft high and a foot thick started with a low grumble, by the time I'd boiled the kettle, it was approaching full speed, and sounded like a jumbo jet taking off. Apart from that, the beds were lovely and comfortable (If you like soft beds) and the pillows were pretty good quality, so I did have a decent sleep. In all, its a decent stop over if you're in Northampton. [Less]

Kettering Holiday Inn Express
By Quercus
First visit to Kettering and my first stay at a Holiday Inn. A pleasant area to explore and an ideal base. The hotel is well located, close to an arterial road on the outskirts (but with no road [More] noise to speak of). All aspects of the hotel were spotless and the room and en-suite well designed. The staff were welcoming and helpful and for my evening meals, the adjacent 'Harvester' restaurant was ideal - there is even a well-stocked 'Spar' shop and fuel filling station nearby and an all-important 'Starbucks'! I am an infrequent user of hotels, but this has to be the best I have ever stayed at and my experience would sway me towards the chain ahead of the other usual suspects..... [Less]

Wonderful stay in a lovely friendly hotel
By Rain40
Lovely hotel, nice quiet area but with things nearby. Clean and tidy and very welcoming entrance, the staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and a very good choice [More] of foods and drinks, plus the option for take outs at breakfast time is a fabulous idea. We were travelling with our little miniature Schnauzer Bella, who was welcomed very well, all the staff came out to say hello to her, the hotel allowed her to come to breakfast with us, but obviously not sitting in the main breakfast table [Less]
