Featured Norwich Hotels

Book a stay at one of our Holiday Inn® family hotels in Norwich. Survey the narrow streets of this ancient city from the top of Norman Castle or cruise the quiet waterways of the Norfolk Broads.

Half-timbered Tudor buildings loom as you wander down cobbled Elm Hill, tucked inside Norwich's maze of medieval alleyways. This landmark street is packed with more Tudor architecture than is found in the whole of London. The city's collection of excellently preserved historic buildings, known as the Norwich 12, is conveniently located near our hotels in Norwich. Pick up a free self-guided walking map of Norwich 12 from the tourist information centre. Faced in limestone shipped from France by the Normans, the formidable keep of Norwich Castle still stands guard over the city. The mighty spire of the Norwich Cathedral extends toward the heavens. A short journey from our Norwich hotels takes you into the Norfolk Broads, a sweeping expanse of wetlands dotted with windmills and blessed with some of the richest flora and fauna in the country.

One of the largest markets in the country, Norwich Market does a thriving business six days a week, just as it has for close to a millennium. Work up an appetite as you browse the artisanal food stalls. Our Norwich hotels are close to Prince of Wales Road, flanked on either side by elegant townhouses as it stretches out of the city centre. Buzzing with restaurants and pubs, it's the best place in Norwich to sample one of the region's many local ales.

Book into our Norwich family hotels and lose yourself among the twisting streets of this historic city, whose medieval past is feted annually at the Dragon Festival, which celebrates the dragon-the heraldic symbol of the city since ancient times.

OK but not brilliant
By Richar070570
Hotel seems a bit tired and in need of a refurbishment. Location is good for local services but parking was also a problem due to the gym and ice rink. Was able to get parked but had to walk a bit [More] and wasn't obvious what was Asia parking. Bed was comfy, restaurant was OK but not much choice. Food when it came out though was fine. [Less]
Great hotel

Far better than my previous experience.
By Piermaster
I spend half of my working life in IHG hotels and after my previous stay in a hotel elsewhere in the UK. It was refreshing to stay at this one. Firstly the car park is shared with a supermarket [More] and a sports centre where the local 'fitness freaks' park as close to the centre so they do have to walk too far (Ah bless them) and us hotel regulars usually vie for spaces far and away amongst the trollies! Check in is very welcoming and they are a very friendly team on the front desk who check you in efficiently. The room typical HIE but they have air-con in Norwich, unlike my previous one where you sweated the night away with a small fan for company! Don't worry about the chlorine smell from the swimming pool in the sports centre, it clears away very quickly. Remember to crawl under the desk to switch on the TV at the mains, it is the only exercise you get inside the hotel!! Dinner has a limited choice menu and reasonably priced but only after sitting at a table for almost an hour was I told that you place your order at the bar, there is no sign informing you of that. I enjoyed my two nights there and felt comfortable to the degree that I will come back again and unlike my previous HIE stay, I look forward to returning here. Show less [Less]
Flying from Norwich
By Bernie
Can thoroughly recommend the Holiday Inn North if you are flying from Norwich Airport and require parking. It is extremely convenient and only a short walk to departures. The booking process directly [More] with IHG was very straightforward which in turn made the check in and check out at the hotel reception very quick and simple. Staff were friendly and helpful. On arriving back at Norwich I had collected the car and was on my way home within 10 minutes of clearing airport arrivals [Less]
Good Stay, park and fly deal

This deal is well worth while, given the proximity to the airport. We did not use all the facilities, but those that we did were very good. [Less]

Great staff, useless wifi
By Wendy
The cost was high for what I got. Clean sheets and hot water can be obtained at competitors' hotels at a third the price. No breakfast was included and I didn't want much breakfast anyhow. The very [More] helpful man in charge of breakfast said he would only charge me £5 for coffee and croissant rather than the whole £14.95 - and in the end this was waived because I complained about the inaccessibility of the Wifi. (Yes, you could get safe high-speed Wifi if you paid extra - but I had already paid quite a whack. Once I had gone through the rigmarole of registering just for my laptop to tell me it would not link up as it was an insecure connection was no joke.) Just as well - it was not a good cappuccino and the croissants were heavy. There was a Morrison's nearby - they do good croissants. Couldn't they have got some there? There was a large selection of other food available which would have been good for carnivores who like a big breakfast. The swimming pool is not part of the Holiday Inn but entrance was included - so this was a bonus. The pool was close by, run by Places for People (or is it People for Places?) and was really good. A very mixed bag in fact. All the staff were really superb. But I will avoid Holiday Inn in future. [Less]
