Featured Norwich Hotels

Book a stay at one of our Holiday Inn® family hotels in Norwich. Survey the narrow streets of this ancient city from the top of Norman Castle or cruise the quiet waterways of the Norfolk Broads.

Half-timbered Tudor buildings loom as you wander down cobbled Elm Hill, tucked inside Norwich's maze of medieval alleyways. This landmark street is packed with more Tudor architecture than is found in the whole of London. The city's collection of excellently preserved historic buildings, known as the Norwich 12, is conveniently located near our hotels in Norwich. Pick up a free self-guided walking map of Norwich 12 from the tourist information centre. Faced in limestone shipped from France by the Normans, the formidable keep of Norwich Castle still stands guard over the city. The mighty spire of the Norwich Cathedral extends toward the heavens. A short journey from our Norwich hotels takes you into the Norfolk Broads, a sweeping expanse of wetlands dotted with windmills and blessed with some of the richest flora and fauna in the country.

One of the largest markets in the country, Norwich Market does a thriving business six days a week, just as it has for close to a millennium. Work up an appetite as you browse the artisanal food stalls. Our Norwich hotels are close to Prince of Wales Road, flanked on either side by elegant townhouses as it stretches out of the city centre. Buzzing with restaurants and pubs, it's the best place in Norwich to sample one of the region's many local ales.

Book into our Norwich family hotels and lose yourself among the twisting streets of this historic city, whose medieval past is feted annually at the Dragon Festival, which celebrates the dragon-the heraldic symbol of the city since ancient times.

A little tired but will still stay here
By Graham H
The rooms that we had were a little tired and dated but were clean and comfortable. It was a Sunday and many of the staff that we met were labled as 'trainee' which explains the lack of normal [More] club member welcome and maybe the response to a not properly working TV problem that my elderly mother experienced together with needing to run water for extended periods to get warm water. Dispatching a barman to my mother to fix her TV did not end up with a fully working TV set. I did feel that the price we were paying for her should mean that all facilities in the room work properly. Being told at check in (without having been asking) that bar service would close at 10:30 was an eye opener for residents in a hotel. Something similar had happened to us previously at this hotel and the management hasd replied that night staff would always see that drinks were available if wanted. The staff don't seem to be aware of this. Despite the niggles, we have stayed here several times in the past and will do so again, seeing these issues as resolvable. [Less]

Inn my experience
By DanM
A good place for a brief business visit but perhaps less ideal for a longer holiday stay. As two people over 70 we found the ground floor areas on the cold side frequently; especially the dining [More] room. Some of the restaurant items were really excellent, especially the curries, but there was limited choice to cover a 7 night stay. The suite we had was simply and plainly furnished - we expect suites to be "grander". The coffee machine had no operating instructions that we could see. Indeed we also could not find the instructions for the air conditioning/heating controls but succeeded by trial [Less]
Good service and friendly staff who are very talented. [Less]
