ALL ROUND GREAT STAY
By TVR12
Enjoyed the 2 other InterContinental hotels in London- Park Lane and Westminster(for the short period it was part of the group) when in the City. The new 02 facility is at a different level with [More] its design, location and changing aspects across the day. Its facilities are at the highest level and the designers of the build should get an award for the structure and notably its internal lay out. The fabric of building is of the highest standard and from our experience of the upgraded room ,with its views across to Docklands and upstream towards the City, every consideration has been given to ensure a top level of comfort. From walking direct into reception from the ground floor covered car park(innovative) our first contact with the staff was very welcoming and professional and this continued with all areas of staff from Restaurant , Bar to the staff servicing the rooms. We even had a phone conversation with the technical engineers who,as we talked, were able to locate a TV channel we required in the room from their central system and key it in to our set.. Quite apart from the high quality facilities on offer we enjoyed the views offered by our room across to Docklands and upstream towards the City. This hotels location enable you to get into London centre easily by underground ,DLR, and Thames Clipper and we used all three ways at different times. Simply superb! [Less]
Only complaint is nothing to complain about.

We were staying for the weekend using an Ambassador voucher. The trip was for my wife's birthday. We were given an upgrade to a corner room overlooking Canary Wharf which was amazing with the sun [More] shining on Canary wharf in the morning and a lovely sunset opposite our room in the evening. The staff throughout our stay were exceptional. We used the Club Lounge throughout our stay and found all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Although I do not normally like to pick out individuals from such a good group I have to name Tia as particularly making us welcome. I thought I had found something to moan about when we walked back along the Thames path from the water bus terminal and found you can't get through the pedestrian gate which is directly opposite the main entrance. But Marta (guest relations) told me that is being addressed and it is planned to open it to guests. The location was perfect for us, on the Jubilee line and no problem to pop into the centre of London. However we have been to London many times but not to the O2 and found many new things to do in the Greenwich area. The only slightly strange thing was, as others have said in their reviews, that no in room gift was given. It is supposed to be a guaranteed benefit of Ambassador. However as it is often only a small chocolate bar I can't say it had much affect on us. I have to apologise again to the poor housekeeping supervisor who walked in the room on our last day just as I had got back from swimming. Apparently, as we suspected, our room should not have been cleaned as we had a late checkout booked. I just hope she wasn't to traumatised by it. Thanks to the hotel for a wonderful weekend and we will be back for my 65th in March, despite technically not having a birthday as mine is 29th February. [Less]
Fantastic hotel, awesome bed and great service.
By Skeeoh
I stayed at the hotel for business and I couldn't fault it. My room, although was a standard one was fantastic. The bed/pillows was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was very luxurious. The [More] staff were friendly and helpful and the Sky Bar was the icing on the cake after a long day. [Less]
Routine Hotel stay

all went well with this trip and the staff were first class - the chap at the check out was excellent [Less]
Nice leisure facilities
Hotel was ideally located for my work in the area with plenty of car parking. Nice swimming pool and well equipped gym. [Less]
Slow check in but Veggie sausages available
By Howard the soundman
I have found, a few times, that there are not enough staff available to process check ins when I arrive on a Friday evening. This leads to significant queues and delays. The staff are always [More] apologetic when this happens but they need to improve this. The breakfast is good and they offer vegetarian sausages if you ask but this is not advertised. [Less]
Great staff, friendly service.
By TMickyP
Very welcoming hotel don't be put off by the entrance through Priddys Yard. Rooms clean and comfortable and the hotel is close to East Croydon train station. Breakfast is busy and chaotic but the [More] staff get there in the end...good place to stay. [Less]
Lovely Welcome
By SueLR
Needed to stay in the area and this proved to be the best place to stay. Plenty of choices nearby for an evening meal and the high street was 2 min walk for shopping. train station within walking [More] distance. Although in the centre of shopping area staying on the 7th floor meant it was quiet. Breakfast was ok but good quality [Less]
Basic - but did the job
By PaulyT99
Stayed here as I had some decorating being done at home. The hotel is my nearest IHG establishment. Its what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. No frills. Could be improved with more [More] attention to cleanliness to the hotel exterior and my room looked very tired. The hotel is in a good location for commuting to London or Gatwick. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast quite nice. [Less]
