Very nice stay
By Debra5126
Holiday Inn Express University Area stay was very nice. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very accommodating. I am a IHG Rewards Customer and came to Rochester NY from Chicago for the RIT [More] Homecoming & Family weekend where my daughter attends college While most hotels in the area raise their prices during this weekend and some only allow limited number of rooms to redeem points during this weekend or none at all. Holiday Inn Express Rochester University Area did allow me to use my points for 1 day stay and cash and points for another day. I was very pleased it help keep me within my budget. Thank you. [Less]

Good value and great breakfast
By Wyndale
If you're looking for a great breakfast, you've come to the right place. The quality and variety are first rate. Other advantages of this hotel: good location (ten minutes to airport), close to [More] malls. Road outside is very busy, but noise inside is minimal. Rooms are small but clean; hotel is undergoing renovation -- condition of elevator and carpeting above the first floor are abysmal -- and hopefully will be fresher soon. They make a horrible first-impression. Priced slightly lower than other hotels -- and priced about right for area and amenities. [Less]

Home away from home

The staff here are top notch. Incredibly welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere is far above other hotels. I enjoyed complimentary food and adult beverages while sitting in front of a relaxing fire [More] overlooking the calming water of the beautiful river. Great way to end a long day of work. In the morning the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean. A great experience. Will definitely frequent this hotel every time I visit Rochester. [Less]
