Rochester is the third-largest city in the state of New York and has a great location at the southern edge of Lake Ontario where the Finger Lakes meet the Great Lakes. There are excellent museums, great dining and a stunning array of parks and gardens for you to discover during your Holiday Inn® Rochester hotel stay.
George Eastman, the founder of Kodak, was brought up in Rochester, and his magnificent home now houses the world's oldest photography museum and is well worth a few hours of your time. Younger visitors won't want to miss the Strong Museum, an interactive museum for children, which boasts a recreation of Sesame Street among many other exhibits. The Ontario Beach Park with its pier, boardwalks and lakeside beach is within easy reach of our Rochester hotels. Or take a cruise down the Erie Canal and Genesee River aboard the Sam Patch, a replica 19th century packet boat.
Flower lovers should visit in May for the annual Lilac Festival in Highland Park when more than 1,200 lilac bushes burst into bloom. Or use your Holiday Inn Rochester hotel as the centre for a golfing holiday. Oak Hill Country Club has hosted both the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup, and the city has been named among the best golf cities in the U.S.
Stay in a Holiday Inn® Rochester hotel and see for yourself why this attractive city tops quality-of-life surveys in the U.S.
My favorite hotel in the Rochester area: I love the dinners, and drinks in the lounge area, great breakfast, quiet rooms, great employees, who will do anything for you[Less]
Great service and impressive room
I would stay here again. I loved the room that I stayed in.[Less]
Wonderful and exceptional customer service from the staff
I hope I am correct, but Linda from The Breakfast area in the morning was extremely helpful and caring to us. I was told from the front desk I was unable to bring any food up to the room in the[More] morning and my fiance was very ill, and Linda allowed me to take some orange juice and a few small items from the breakfast area up to the room. So hats off to Linda for caring about us! I'm not sure why you can't bring food up to the room when it's complimentary breakfast anyways. That should be changed other than that it was a wonderful stay.[Less]
Great except the elevator
The elevator is not updated and in very bad cosmetic shape.[Less]
Everything was good. I had a wonderful nights stay at the hotel. I would stay here again.[Less]
Comfortable hotel and convenient location
I fond this hotel to meet my needs. The room was clean and the location was convenient. Breakfast was very reasonable and in line with the room rate. Would stay there again.[Less]
Love fresh fruit for breakfast
The bed was almost too soft, but the room was clean and comfortable. The garbage disposal did not work, but it was nice to have a kitchenette. We had a room overlooking the river so the view was[More] great and quiet for sleeping.[Less]
Comfortable bed, great service.
Felt like home, very clean and good breakfast. I will higly recommend this hotel to family and friends.[Less]
Excellent in every way
This hotel was so convenient and comfortable (affordable, clean) that I would definitely stay here again. And, although I didn't bring a pet this time, it's great to know that I can. I can't[More] recommend this hotel enough![Less]
