While the entrance to the hotel is less than impressive, once inside, it will not disappoint. Our room was well appointed, bathroom was spacious and clean with plenty of good quality towels and wash
cloths. But, at the end of the day, it was the bed that stole the show; large, with a good quality mattress that was supportive and comfortable it was topped by pillows and bedding that had clearly been paid attention to. I've never understood why some hotels don't make beds a top priority - This Holiday Inn has - and it was worth every penny.
I'd like to see this chain offer an incentive programme for guests - just as they ask for our rating, a programme rating their guests and then giving discounts to guests who qualify would, I think, be well received, for instance: if the guest strips the bed, puts all the towels in one spot, places all garbage in the bin and leaves the room in good order they then qualify for, and are invited to join, the 'best guest' programme. This programme could offer 15% off the next bill, and the next, and the next ad infinitum (provided of course the guest continues to qualify). Not only does this provide an incentive for the guest to return and take good care of the room, it also cuts down in labour and time to clean that room. A win/win! [Less]
