Holiday Inn Aruba
By BillTerp#1
From February 13-20, my wife and I stayed at this hotel for the second time within the past three years. It is a beautiful resort with excellent service. As a matter of fact, we will probably stay at [More] the same location in the future. However, I would be remiss if I didn't report on two terrible nights we had with little sleep. We were booked initially in Room 5586 (Palm Tower) which has an adjoining door in case it is needed with larger groups. On the nights of February 16 & 17 we barely slept because the people next door were so loud and obnoxious that it sounded like they were in our room., They used every curse word in the book and were obviously drunk both nights so they could care less about their neighbors. I did call the front desk on the first night and they did send security quickly which we appreciate. After the second night with the same issues we were moved to the Sea Tower and were able to sleep with no problem. I guess the moral of the story is to try to not reserve a room with an adjoining room. [Less]
Wonderful Resort
By Tiki
We had a wonderful time at the Holiday Inn Aruba in Feb. The employees were all very nice and helpful and they were always working hard. Our night having dinner out on the beach at the Sea Breeze [More] was one of our favorite times. Eddie, the manager was the best. He took very good care of us. It was a fun evening. Our room was large and clean and the bed was comfortable. Our only problem with it was that it was on the back side of the hotel next to a bar at the next hotel and we could hear loud pounding music until late in the night. The pools and the beach were all beautiful. If I had any complaints it would probably be the way you had to reserve the cabanas at the pool and the grass huts on the beach. I think it would be better to give everyone a number when they checked in if they wanted either. Then just draw for them each day. I am not sure this would work either but it seems like there should be a better way than having to get up at 4:30 and sit on a cabana until 5:00 or waste an hour or more of vacation waiting in line to maybe get a hut on the beach the next day. That was really my only complaint. Our whole visit was a wonderful experience. [Less]
Nice Vacation
By Di1228
We enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent and the beach beautiful. The view from our balcony was lovely. The breakfast was wonderful every day. Our only problem was the difficulty reserving [More] a palapa. Extremely time consuming in the middle of the day with no guarantee of a reservation. A terrible system. [Less]
