The location of the Holiday Inn Resort could not be any better. Great restaurants are all around, you can visit the other hotels, and you can reach great shopping by just walking. The lobby is
beautiful and the fresh orange and lemon water that is offered throughout the day is a nice treat.
After being in our original room for a night and realizing that we had another preference (my husband is a light sleeper), Josef and the manager on duty that afternoon were extremely accommodating and very helpful. We were fortunate to be moved to a room that faced the garden, so we could hear the live music that played in the early evening if we left our balcony open as we got ready for dinner.
The breakfast was delicious and had a great selection of fruits, eggs made your way, pastries, and different types of pancakes and french toast. The coffee was surprisingly good as well. It was not watered down.
We can't comment on the pools because let's be honest, with that gorgeous clear ocean water, we were not interested in going to the pool. The palapa system wasn't terrible. My husband would line up around 3:10 and he would read a book as he waited in line. We went on an excursion one afternoon, so we lined up in the morning the next day between 9:45-10am and luckily got a palapa for the day. Many people were angry or frustrated, but we were on vacation and had no where to go. So we hung out in line and got to know the other guests.
For the price, location, safety, and overall service, we would most definitely return to the Holiday Inn and stunning Aruba. [Less]
