My girlfriend and I both work for an airline and travel a lot. We usually stay in cheap hotels, but this was our first time staying at a resort. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our stay here and
highly recommend it!
We were surprised at check-in with a complimentary upgrade to the top floor with a partial ocean view! We were traveling with our 5 month old daughter, and the hotel staff were quick to deliver a complimentary crib to our room. We usually left to go to the beach around 10 am each morning, and return to our room around noon for our daughter to take a nap. Within that 2 hours, house keeping had already finished and they even put the sheets together in the crib for us, and they laid out our daughter toys as well.
We utilized the complimentary palapas on the beach. There are many palapas, but they have a number drawing each day for you to reserve your palapa for the following day. This wasn't an issue for us, as we spent most of our time at the resort. We spent some time at the beach under our palapa, however we spent more time at the pool as our 5 month old daughter appeared to enjoy the warmer pool water more. It was also closer to the bar!
The hotel is also conveniently located within walking distance of an outdoor mall, a few small grocery stores, and many restaurants.
The only complaints I have, there were 2 separate occasions that maintenance was having to fix an issue with the water heater (both times in the evening.) During one of those times, we had to give our daughter a cool shower, which wasn't fun for a 5 month old to endure. We also had trouble with the WiFi one night, but this wasn't a big issue for us. On both occasions, when I called, I was greeted on the phone by name, and the staff was very friendly and explained each situation to me.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this to anyone going to Aruba. The staff was very nice and accommodating to our needs. Our 5 month old daughter was also loved by everyone, and got tons of compliments from staff members and fellow guests! [Less]
