It's easy to explore this sunny, good-natured Victorian capital from our Holiday Inn® Melbourne hotels. Take a relaxed Aussie approach to sightseeing, with unhurried mornings at Queen Victoria Market and picnics in one of Melbourne's many parks.
Our hotels in Melbourne are a short ride from the center, where getting around is a breeze with the free city circle tram and sightseeing bus. Begin on strikingly postmodern Federation Square, home to the free Ian Potter Center, displaying indigenous Australian art. Across the river is its sister museum, the free National Gallery of Victoria, whose outstanding collection comprises Rembrandt and Warhol masterpieces. Our Melbourne hotels are close to Flinders Street Station, an Edwardian landmark with a decorative clock tower. Take your kids to see the living rainforest at the Melbourne Museum, or the squawking cockatoos flying overhead at the free Royal Botanic Gardens. When the sun shines, Melbourne's sandy beaches beckon.
Our Melbourne hotels are close to atmospheric Queen Victoria Market, which opened in 1878 and today sells farm produce, souvenirs and inexpensive clothing. Take a break with a coffee and pastry or snacks like pizza and sausages at one of the market's little cafes. Specialty stores huddle under the soaring glass roof of Melbourne's Royal Arcade. For good-value Chinese food fresh from the wok, explore neon-lit Chinatown, going strong since the gold rush of the 1850s. The city center is packed with restaurants and bars, serving everything from hearty pub grub to Modern European cuisine. Picnickers can enjoy the free barbecue facilities sprinkled throughout Melbourne's public parks and gardens.
Stay in our Melbourne hotels in summer for a feast of cricket, music and film festivals and lazy beach days. The Melbourne International Arts Festival, the biggest of its kind in Australia, is a true autumn highlight.

Great hotel with great staff.
Brand new hotel, good location. ChromeCast built into the TV system, good for cold rainy nights when you want to stay in.
Happy Hour Bar!…
Staff go above and beyond[Less]
My complaint is that whenever I stay with an IHG hotel which I do often, I never receive an account by email even though I have requested it on departure and I have been assured by the styaff that[More] they have already sent it to my email address.
This is not acceptable and unless this is rectified I will start choosing alternate accomodation for my frequent travels[Less]
Great Location and Value for Money
Excellent place to stay in the heart of southbank. convenient to all you need and more.[Less]
Great location…flawed bathroom design.
Great location from the Yarra view rooms. Friendly staff at check in and restaurant. Breakfast was very good with everything you could want.
Terrible bathroom design with frosted glass entry right[More] next to door with large gap around giving no privacy.
Bad design of shower screen door meaning when using, water would flood the outside bathroom area each time saturating floor mats.[Less]
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed & comfortable by the staff. Our room was amazing with a fabulous view overlooking the Yarra.
Our beds were very comfortable, facilities excellent &[More] luxurious. The blockout drapes worked well.
the one & only downfall was the street entrance. We actually walked straight passed it, as the signage wasn't too clear, At first glance it appeared to be advertising the restaurants & cafe, which we didn't know as this was our first stay at the Plaza.
Terrific location with restaurants a short walk away, our function was at the Convention centre, so a short stroll across the Yarra.
Thankyou to all of the staff.[Less]

What a surprise to find such a fantastic hotel in Werribee
The hotel is very new and has all the amenities need for a comfortable stay. The Werribee area has so much to offer like the open zoo,[More] Shadowfax winery and lots more.
We found the staff to be excellent with Lolita going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I have arthritis and was unable to use the dispensers so Catalina offered to get soap for me. This saved us a trip to the supermarket.
In these days of covid we could not have felt safer.
We will be back.[Less]
