Discover a vibrant arts scene when you stay in our hotels in Winnipeg, the capital of Manitoba province. Admire unique Inuit art, visit galleries in the historic Exchange District and catch a performance of the world-famous Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
Our hotels in Winnipeg are near the Manitoba Museum, an all-in-one natural history and science museum and planetarium. Explore a life-sized replica of 1920s Winnipeg, create your own stop-motion animation and learn which constellations are lighting up the skies during your stay. Discover the art of Canada's indigenous Inuit peoples in the Manitoba Art Gallery. Intricately embroidered tapestries and carved stone statuettes illuminate a creative culture thriving near the Arctic Circle. Wide-open grassy fields contrast with trim English gardens in Assiniboine Park, near our Winnipeg hotels. Stroll among bronze statues of nymphs and bears in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden and find the original painting of Winnie the Pooh-named after Winnipeg-in the park's Pavilion gallery.
At Forks Market, the city's fruit and vegetable market since 1900, grab fresh-baked bread, just-picked apples and artisanal cheese for a picnic along the nearby Red and Assiniboine rivers. Thirty blocks of turn-of-the-20th-century brick warehouses and factories are now the walkable Exchange District and cultural heart of Winnipeg. Galleries showcasing provocative local artists are scattered throughout the neighborhood, though the Artspace building houses six on its own. Guests of our Winnipeg hotels can dine in an Exchange District restaurant or bistro before taking in a captivating performance by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, considered one of the finest ballet companies in North America.
Stay in our Holiday Inn® hotels in Winnipeg in August for traditional dance performances and a multitude of cuisines from around the world during Folklorama, or in February to marvel at ice sculptures and race through snow mazes at the Festival du Voyaguer.
