Located on the twelth floor looking west you can watch aircraft preparing to land at Porto Airport but you cant see the Douro River or views of majestic Porto, so ask for a North facing room, you
will also avoid the clanking noise of the window cleaners cables against the side of the building when the wind is onshore ! The staff teams at Gaia or "top notch", well trained and motivated to help at every opportunity. The Maitre - D went out of his way to provide excellence and awesome "show cooking", I recommend the Mustard Beef Steak (Fillet) and the Crepe Suzette but maybe not at the same meal !. Reception staff team, Bar staff and Housekeeping all worked well together. It's a shame that it costs 15 euros every time you want to take a dip in the third floor Spa Pool but it's restricted to 20 max people at a time and "not very deep". Four days stayed gave plenty of time to wonder and visit the City but ensure that you get the correct bus number back up the hill when returning to the hotel. A 906 bus takes you to the beaches !
Overall, this hotel is on my "must return one day" list. [Less]
