This hotel seems to have a deliberate policy of denying Welcome Points to IHG Reward Scheme members. I have stayed at the hotel twice and both times I was told that "we don't participate in this
scheme" but on lodging a "missing points" claim through the IHG website, these points were added to my total. This is the only IHG hotel that I have experienced this and I find it very difficult to think that it is anything but a deliberate ploy to save some money.
The hotel is as one would expect from an IHG hotel - reliable and comfortable. Their shuttle service was outstanding with complimentary cold water provided by the driver was most appreciated. The staff were very friendly but we were allocated a double room even though I had booked a twin room. After 18 hours of travel, we couldn't be bothered waiting for a reallocation to took the double.
Overall, not bad but the points and room allocation spoiled what should have been a routine stay. [Less]
