Choose one of our Holiday Inn® Chester hotels and within minutes you'll be walking along the immaculately preserved ancient city walls and taking in the beauty of medieval Chester.
Our hotels in Chester, England, are just moments from the famous Chester Rows, covered walkways that date from the 13th and 14th centuries and make Chester's charming city center as historic as it is eye-catching. The impressive black-and-white wood-clad facades in the center of the city give way to wider boulevards as you travel toward the River Dee and the imposing Chester Castle, near the historic Chester Racecourse. It's free to tour Chester Castle, in constant use for some 2,000 years. Discover a little about Chester's past as an important Roman settlement or admire the collection of Victorian paintings in the Grosvenor Museum. Then relax in nearby Grosvenor Park, where wooded walkways lead you to a secluded "magic" well.
Nearly all the city's restaurants, bars and traditional pubs are located within the city walls and close to our Chester hotels. Take a trip to the riverside and sip on a local ale in a pub beer garden. Or sample award-winning fare in one of the on-course restaurants on the Chester Racecourse, where you can place bets on a horse race or two while you dine. Our Chester hotels are also just a short drive from the hills of North Wales and the Peak District.
Book our Chester hotels and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of ancient Chester any time of year. Visit in the summer for the Chester Summer Music Festival. Bring the kids in October for the Shell Chester Literature Festival, which celebrates the written word and offers a popular children's mini-festival, GobbleDEEbook.

This hotel is ideally situated for visiting Chester, It is only minutes from the city centre. It is clean modern and comfortable with an easy relaxed atmosphere. Breakfasts are help yourself with a[More] good choice and although there is not a restaurant for evening meals it is a very short walk to the Pub on the race course with a 10% discount for the hotel guests or plenty of places to eat in the city.. The staff were lovely, they all spoke when you passed by, it was a friendly place and we wouldn't hesitate to go back if we were in the area again. Good basic holiday inn
Not exciting but adequate. A bit over priced and some rooms can be noisy due to amazingly long corridors and 'lively' guests..[Less]

A good hotel in a good location for the golf course, but it would be good for business. Lots of parking, good restaurant and bar, good internet connection, quiet, good room and bed = all that a[More] hotel should be but all too many fail.[Less]
