City of Culture, City of Music, Capital of Sport - Glasgow goes by many names, and you need only step outside your Holiday Inn® Glasgow hotel to see why.
Scotland's largest city boasts lively streets, chalk full of unique shops, cafes and restaurants, a world-renowned music scene, beautiful parks, romantic architecture, and countless museums and art galleries. Don't be surprised if you have to plan another trip to take it all in.
Our Glasgow hotels are always ready to welcome you.
Metropolitan Glasgow is divided into two major areas: the bohemian West End and the more commercial City Center, where you'll find Glasgow's main shopping, business and entertainment districts, as well as Medieval Merchant City, a must-see during your Glasgow hotel stay. Despite its age, the real draw of Merchant City is its turn of the century buildings and houses, excellent examples of Glasgow's Victorian architecture.
There's upscale shopping on Ingram St., the Gallery of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow Cathedral and the hauntingly beautiful Necropolis Cemetery.
Next, indulge your cultural side with a trip to the West End, home of the prestigious University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. The University area boasts an eclectic mix of eateries and boutiques and quaint tree-lined streets make it a pleasure to explore by foot.
Stop by the award-winning Ubiquitous Chip for upscale pub food, good wine, lively conversation and to see the Chip's famous mural by Glaswegian author and artist, Alasdair Gray.
Visitors to our Glasgow hotels will also appreciate the variety of family friendly activities this city offers. The Glasgow Science Center has a science mall with over 250 interactive exhibits, an IMAX cinema, and the impressive Glasgow Tower, the tallest rotating tower in the world.
A trip to Fossil Grove in Victoria Park is well worth the trek out of the city.
There's beautiful gardens, a museum with prehistoric tree fossils and even a maze on the grounds. Round out your Glasgow hotel stay with a traditional Scottish soccer game. Glasgow has two professional teams, the Rangers and the Celtics, and some of the biggest stadiums in the United Kingdom.

Holiday Inn Express Stirling
Holiday Inn Express Glasgow - City Ctr Theatreland
Stayed 2 nights to break the journey home and visit friends. Quiet location but close to Stirling and easy access for sightseeing. All staff were friendly especially those on reception, Stephan was[More] informative and Agnes printed off routes to the sights. The room was a good size, modern decoration and I found the "rocking" chair very comfortable. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was very high. A most relaxing stay.[Less]
Stayed here as part of a motorcycle group tour. We had a very pleasant overnight stay and were made to feel welcome.[Less]
Bring back the Bacon
I really do like staying at this hotel. The staff are always friendly and the rooms are clean and modern.
BUT it does need to "Bring back the Bacon" to the breakfast buffet. The Sausage is okay,[More] but it needs the company of a nice rasher.
The message couldn't be clearer Bring back the Bacon.
I will return regularly to check the progress of my campaign.[Less]

Friendly staff, hotel met expectations
Stayed for business in this hotel. It fitted the purpose, no major complaints, and was probably the standard expected for the price/brand. Fairly basic but clean and had everything I needed. Staff at[More] front desk were particularly friendly and helpful. It was noisy, due to the location being in the city centre and close to a main road.[Less]
Relax and Unwind
After a busy day both travelling and rushed work schedule it was great to close the bedroom door soak in the bath and relax. While the hotel is a little way outside the city center I found the river[More] walk both relaxing and not too long.[Less]
