Make our Holiday Inn® Northampton hotels your base for exploring the architectural gems of this ancient city and the collection of stately homes in the surrounding Northamptonshire countryside.
Our Northampton hotels make it easy to explore Northampton, a historic English market town in the throes of a booming renaissance. With a history that dates back to the Bronze Age, Northampton is home to one of the last remaining round churches in the country. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was built in 1100 to resemble a Jerusalem church with the same name. Take a stroll to Derngate street past the decorative Northampton Guildhall, an impressive Victorian Gothic building from the 1860s. Stop in at 78 Derngate to admire its stunning Art Nouveau interior, the work of noted Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. At the bottom of Derngate is Becket's Park, close to our hotels in Northampton. The park's mighty trees provide shade on sunny days while the River Nene drifts quietly by.
The rural countryside of Northamptonshire nearby is dotted with church spires and magnificent homes, all within easy driving distance of our Northampton hotels. Visit Althorp, birthplace of Diana, Princess of Wales, and the Spencers' ancestral home since the early 16th century. Althorp is open to the public in summer, and its priceless collection of van Dyck paintings alone is worth a visit. Spend evenings in Northampton at the theater in Derngate. The pubs and restaurants nearby are a popular place for drinking and dining on weekends. For Asian cuisine try Wellingborough Road, where Indian and Vietnamese restaurants vie for local supremacy.
Book one of our Northampton hotels and explore Northampton and the surrounding region. Within thirty miles you can find historic homes, ancient forests and remarkable architecture.
I slept really well in the hotel, falling asleep at 2100 and waking up at 0700 was a great way for me to recharge after the long drive to the hotel and the long day of work that I had. The breakfast[More] had a good selection and the staff were very friendly.[Less]

Great mini break let down by lack of pillows on uncomfortable sofa bed
By Goldie2510
Lovely mini break in Milton Keynes but sadly let down by only having one pillow per person. Staff were great and location exactly what we needed...just wish I had slept better! Sofa bed was fairly[More] small but with insufficient pillows I could could not get comfortable. With hindsight I wish I had contacted reception at 2am and got more pillows but didn't want to disturb everyone so tossed and turned all night instead![Less]
