Enjoy sunny Southern California weather at our hotels in Oceanside, north of San Deigo. Take to the waves on a surf board with a local instructor, watch for rhinos on the savannah at San Diego Wild Animal Park and enjoy a sunset stroll on the pier as the sun sinks into the Pacific Ocean.
Our hotels in Oceanside are near the town's 4-mile stretch of beaches. Tyson Street Beach and Park is ideal for a splashing in the waves under the watchful eyes of lifeguards. Vendors rent boogie boards and nearby surf shops offer surf lessons for first-timers. Celebrate Southern California's favorite past time at the California Surf Museum in downtown Oceanside. Admire historic boards and striking photos of this sport's many legends. LEGOLAND California, a short drive from our Oceanside hotels, has LEGO play areas and rides geared to younger children. Families with older kids opt for the San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido. The African Express open-air tram rides past exotic landscapes where you'll see rhinos, giraffes, lions, gorillas and elephants with nary a cage in sight.
Fishermen and strollers love the Oceanside Pier, stretching nearly 2,000 feet over the Pacific Ocean. Head to colorful Harbor Village restaurants near our Oceanside hotels for surf-and-turf, or fill up on spicy burritos and juicy burgers at downtown eateries. Harbor Village shops specialize in funky sunglasses, trendy surf gear and beach attire. Nightlife in Oceanside is as laid-back as the town itself, with a mix of visitors, locals and marines from Camp Pendleton relaxing over beers and shooting pool at Harbor Village and downtown watering holes.
Stay at our Holiday Inn® hotels in Oceanside to watch surf contests year round, from the Freedom Surf Series in spring, to National Scholastic Surfing Association open contests year-round.
I had a great stay, staff was great. The rooms were clean and I was using my free stay from my IHG rewards. Kudos for this program, if you must stay away from home getting IHG rewards helps.[Less]
Clean Room, Overpriced, Bad Customer Service
We booked two nights at this location. We called fifteen days prior to our arrival to make a request and we were promised a call within 48 hours from the hotel manager. After one week of waiting for[More] this call we called the hotel directly and asked for the manager. He was not available at the time so we requested he/she call us back. He/she never called us back. Ignoring customers is not the strategy to gain future business.
The room was clean and accommodating. The price was high, $210/night for a standard room with a king bed.
The wifi is horrible.
There is plenty parking, a pool and small fitness room.
We will not stay here again.[Less]
Everything was awesome!
We were there to see son after a long deployment. We were able to relax and enjoy the visit. This will be the only hotel we will use on future visits.[Less]
Great Hotel in the San Diego area
This hotel, had everything I was looking for, it was clean, great service, and in the right area. I suggest you try it, you will like it !![Less]
Traveled to San Diego area for a weekend trip to relax and get away from Texas heat! Loved the property, not deep in the city, but not to far from San Diego main attractions.... would definitely[More] recommend to friends and family visiting here![Less]
Great hotel, Friendly Staff!
We really enjoyed our stay at Staybridge Suites! Even though we were only there for one night, we were comfy and felt very welcomed by all the Staff![Less]

Slept amazing, food was okay
There was a family 2 doors down and they had the door open when I was going into the room. Their kids were making a ton of noise and I thought they would keep me up all night. When I finally got into[More] the room and closed the door, I could no longer hear them. Slept like a king. Food could have been better, standard stuff except they had microwaveable burritos instead of egg and sausages. Other than that, I had a good 2 nights.[Less]
