Make yourself at home in our Holiday Inn® hotels in Grand Junction, near Colorado National Monument's towering sandstone monoliths and red-rock canyons. In no time you'll be sipping local wines in Grand Junction's surprisingly sophisticated downtown or floating on a river past sheer-walled canyons in a big rubber raft.
The Colorado National Monument offers guests of our hotels in Grand Junction numerous opportunities for exploration. Miles of hiking and mountain-biking trails (rentals available in town) weave through a maze of sculpted spires and mesas where bighorn sheep roam. You can admire the sunset-hued landscape from the comfort of your car on the 23-mile Rim Rock Drive; pull in at overlooks for panoramic views. Find out more about the fossils preserved in the region's stratified rocks at Dinosaur Journey museum in Fruita, a short drive from our Grand Junction hotels. Brachiosaurus, stegosaurus and allosaurus are among the prehistoric reptiles represented, with displays of real bones and robots that bellow and spit. Step inside a simulator to experience an earthquake, and register in advance to dig for bones.
Sample the local fruits of this fertile valley at the area's many vineyards and orchards. Pick up a wine tour map from our hotels in Grand Junction to savor merlot and chardonnay vintages at picturesque wineries in Colorado wine country. Back downtown, more than 100 sculptures occupy leafy sidewalks leading past boutiques, galleries and restaurants near our Grand Junction hotels. Here you can refuel on plump burritos or saucy calzones as you sip a refreshing pint of local ale. Main Street comes alive on warm summer evenings, when live music streams out of clubs and bars.

GJ Candlewood Suite February 2019
By Pat from Moab
My husband and I have a special diet so chose to stay at Candlewood Suites while in Grand Junction, CO, for 3 nights last week. I brought along my own kitchenware, not realizing the room had (almost)[More] everything I use. They even provide paper towels! I used my favorite slotted spoon, but other then that used the room’s kitchenware.
The beds were very comfortable, the room had lots of plugins but no USB connections (I carry a plug with me for charging our electronics), and the heater worked nicely during our very cold winter stay.
We liked the room so much we booked another reservation for a trip we’re taking later this week.[Less]
Great weekend get away
Comfy bed, clean room, love the shampoo and conditioner they use, quick working heat and a/c, windows you can open, friendly front desk, quiet property, does not use a lot of points to book a room if[More] you are paying with points.[Less]
A Night Out
We spent the night at this hotel for an early anniversary night away from our kids and it was a great experience. The hotel when you first walk in is VERY nice, and clean. The room was clean, and[More] spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable we wish we could have had another night. We went down to the pool and had the whole pool to ourselves which was very relaxing. Overall a great experience and I will definitely go back again.[Less]
Stay was good room was noisy with the heater and hearing people in the hall[Less]
Great stay as always
My family stays in Grand Jinction frequently and we love this property. We always get a good night sleep. Everything we need for our combined business leisure trips. Spacious rooms and amenities we[More] all use. I still want to see more healthful food options in the breakfast provided, like Gluten free oats and Real eggs. (Or a kitchen option in a couple rooms.)[Less]
