Stay at our Holiday Inn® hotels in Clearwater, Florida, to discover the Gulf of Mexico's surf and sealife. Sink your toes into the warm, white sand of Clearwater Beach, and greet sea turtles and sharks at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

Our hotels in Clearwater make it easy to explore the Florida Gulf Coast. Take a relaxing swim in the gentle surf of sun-drenched Clearwater Beach, and watch the sky turn red and orange as the sun sets behind the sea at dusk. Caladesi Island State Park, just north of the Clearwater coast, has nature trails and miles of unspoiled beaches. At Clearwater Marine Aquarium for sick or injured Gulf animals, you can touch a ray, learn about giant sea turtles or shake a dolphin's fin. All the animals here are nursed back to health by the resident marine biologists. Our Clearwater hotels are close to Moccasin Lake Nature Park. The park's boardwalks wind through mangrove forests where egrets, ospreys, turtles and even the occasional alligator make their homes.

It's a short drive from our hotels in Clearwater to the Florida citrus countryside. Orchards sell oranges and tangerines at roadside stands, perfect for afternoon snacking. Our Clearwater hotels are near the city's downtown Cleveland Street District, lined with brightly painted storefronts and shaded with graceful palms. Browse boutiques for bathing suits, beachwear and strappy sandals, then relax at a colorful umbrella table at the district's sidewalk cafés and patios. Dine on locally grown salads and fresh-squeezed orange juice at lunchtime, or broiled fish and rock lobster at dinner.

Book our Holiday Inn hotels in Clearwater in October for world-class jazz concerts in oceanside venues during the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, or in February, when the free concerts of the Knology Clearwater Sea Blues Festival swing into the night.

Loved every thing about it except for the breakfast
By emmitt29
You know if you travel a lot for work, they are basic things you need. Quiet, Quiet, Quiet, Clean and Comfortable. This property met all those needs. The breakfast was boring but no big deal. [Less]
Overall, a great place!

The hotel was clean, the staff was very kind and helpful, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was decent. I would definitely recommend this hotel. [Less]
Great place to stay
By kantini
This is my second staying at this property. Would definitely recommend it. I thought I might have smelled a weird smell this time, first time no. Maybe I had a pet friendly room, not sure. But my [More] daughter assured me it smelled fine. [Less]
Hurricane Stay
The Hotel was full due to Hurricane Matthew. Despite the craziness of people the staff was very friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was [More] great, lots of options. Thank You for a great experience. [Less]
Close to Busch Gardens and Reasonable Prices
By Floridian Family
We came to this hotel due to hurricane evacuations, but we also wanted to use our Busch Gardens passes while we were here so this hotel was close to the park and had available rooms. When we first [More] arrived the area outside of the hotel seemed a little less than desirable, but once we entered the hotel, we found it to be very clean and nicely maintained. The room doors are all facing inside to the courtyard area which has nice landscaping and a small restaurant. The desk clerk was friendly and there were luggage carts to bring in our bags. The lobby is on the ground level when you enter, but it is on the 2nd floor of rooms when you exit out the back. There is one floor below that is on the ground level for the pool and restaurant, and one floor above. We stayed on this 2nd floor so getting to our room was not difficult. Once in our room we were happy to find that there was a good amount of space for everyone. The bedroom had 2 queen sized beds and the sitting room had a couch that had a pull out bed. There was also a mini-fridge and a small kurig coffee maker. The room had several coffee and tea choices. The bathroom was also rather large and that was nice too. The walls were a bit thin so we could hear some kids upstairs running and jumping as well as voices, but they were not so loud or frequent as to be a real bother to us. The beds were clean and big enough, but a bit too hard for my taste. All in all, we enjoyed our 2 night stay and would return here. The price was reasonable and I did not feel unsafe here. Having a car, we found that this hotel was near to a variety of restaurants and shopping. [Less]
recent stay

Hotel, room, and grounds were in very good condition. Staff did their jobs. Hotel has a very good location for Busch Garden and USF. For myself, I would rather eat at a different restaraunt as the [More] food leaves a bit to be desired. [Less]
Room, and Front Desk Staff Were great
By bdjd59
We enjoyed our stay except for one rude shuttle driver (the other drivers were terrific). I also was not happy with the restaurant. I thought the food was expensive although it did taste fine. On [More] our visit to eat breakfast the next morning we were there 20-25 minutes and were never waited on, even after I got the attention of a Waitress and asked for a menu. [Less]
