Featured Baton Rouge Hotels

Let the good times roll when you stay at one of our Holiday Inn® hotels in Baton Rouge. Follow the bends in the mighty Mississippi River, immerse yourself in Cajun culture and get your fill of spicy crawfish.

Our hotels in Baton Rouge make it easy to experience the flavor of Louisiana Cajun culture, a zesty tangle of Native-American, African-American, French and Spanish influences. That cultural gumbo is reflected in the collection at Louisiana State Museum, where exhibits range from a 48-foot shrimp trawler to Fats Domino musical memorabilia. Take a free tour of the marbled interior of the Louisiana State Capitol, built during the turbulent tenure of Governor Huey Long and the nation's tallest capitol building. Afterward, wander the capitol's immaculate gardens, ripe with roses and bougainvillea. Our Baton Rouge hotels are near elegant Nottoway Plantation, where it's easy to envision the Grand White Ballroom filled with fluttering lace fans and swaying hoop skirts.

Just minutes away from our Baton Rouge hotels, the Mississippi riverfront buzzes with restaurants serving savory Cajun specialties like shrimp etouffée (a thick stew over rice). Spicy boudin sausage is sold at local cafes, markets and even gas stations. Finish with warm bread pudding for dessert. Downtown Baton Rouge also has a wealth of dining options. Dig into a pile of spicy steamed crawfish and end your evening dancing the Cajun two-step at a local club.

Book a stay at our Holiday Inn Baton Rouge hotels in spring to experience Cajun Country Mardi Gras, or in autumn when Louisiana State University hits the football field. Whenever you visit, you'll find the city's trademark hospitality in season.

The hotel was clean and the staff professional. It would have been nice to have the option to park/valet. Valet is the only parking offered. [Less]

Great location and clean rooms
By Doucet22
We visited this location for a short family getaway. Upon arrival we were treated very well. My room was on the fourth floor and the elevator was broken. The front desk noted my account and my rate [More] was decreased by I believe $30. I was very appreciative. The elevator was back up and running by morning. Breakfast was good and staff was wonderful. My only recommendation would be a few lounge/tanning chairs by the pool. I was a little disappointed there was no where to tan. But still we enjoyed the pool and this wouldn't prevent me from returning. Sunday, I asked for a late check out, which I understand is not an obligation that the hotel must provide. They said no, because they wanted to allow the housekeepers to leave early to be with family, seeing as it was Easter. Which was fine I totally understand. However check out is at noon and at 11:40 staff was calling my room and knocking on my door. Which I thought was very rude. I was loading the cart with out bags and heading downstairs. I felt rushed and that is what will have me considering if this is the right hotel for me. I understand it was Easter, it was also Easter for my family. We rented a room and that room was reserved until noon (which I was checked out by). But I felt very rushed and unwelcome at that point. For the rate of the room and the hotel brand I was a little disappointed in this treatment. However, I was pleased with everything else, as well as the treatment from other staff the days before. Quick stay

Pretty good stay. Early check in was allowed which was a bonus..... great front desk staff, very pleasant and easy check in. Truth be told- the Hotel looked BEAUTIFUL when I walked in but there was a [More] smell in the foyer mixed with the fragrance machine that was awful- needs to be aired out! Nice room overall, but my bathroom could've been cleaner. The mattresses may need to be replaced as well because I felt and heard the springs in mine as soon as I sat on the bed. Overall it was decent enough for a one night stay in the area and the price was the best as well for the selection of hotels offered in the area [Less]

This was a beautiful hotel. Clean and large rooms. My request were all met. Staff is excellent and pleasant. Pool area nice. Felt very safe parking in the hotel lot as it is fenced all around. [Less]
Good experience, great value
I accidentally booked a suite instead of a regular room. Because of the price, I didn't notice. I was very happy with the cleanliness and the staff. I will be back in the area for a wedding and [More] fear that the block of rooms for the wedding will be at another hotel. Considering making my own reservations at this hotel instead. [Less]
