Featured Frederick Hotels

Choose our Holiday Inn® hotels in Frederick, Maryland, at the center of America's Civil War crossroads. Wander the town center where Union and Confederate forces once marched, commemorate the fallen at Antietam battlefield and learn about life-saving wartime surgeries and medicine.

Our hotels in Frederick are near the historic old town of trim 19th-century houses, elegant mansions and soaring church spires. The Museum of Frederick County History is in a simple 1800s Federal-style home that has seen both Union and Confederate troops march past its door. Thousands of fallen soldiers were brought to Frederick from the Antietam battlegrounds in 1862. Wax models of the wounded and exhibits on 19th-century embalming techniques at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine illuminate the difficult work of saving lives on the frontlines. Kids can try their hand on a loom and spinning wheel at the Rose Hill Manor Children's Museum, in a 300-year-old mansion set among rolling parkland. Our Frederick hotels are a short drive from Antietam National Battlefield, scene of the bloodiest single battle of the War Between the States. The struggle at Monocacy National Battlefield, just south from Frederick, weakened Confederate forces and prevented an invasion of Washington, D.C.

Frederick's 1800s brick storehouses and shopfronts now sell trendy sneakers, vintage duds and rare antiques. While window-shopping through downtown, guests of our hotels in Frederick will find dozens of tempting restaurants and pubs serving classic Maryland crab cakes and wood-fired pizzas. Market Street is the center of Frederick's nightlife, where atmospheric taverns keep Maryland ales on tap.

Book our Holiday Inn hotels in Frederick in May to taste hand-crafted beers from across the state in the Maryland Brewer's Spring Fest, or in September for carnival rides and agricultural displays at the Great Frederick Fair.
