Can't wait to come back

Just a getaway to a comfy quiet room away from everything loud and noisy. Relaxed watch the game and had lots of Blue Moon Pumkin Beer on draft from the bar. [Less]
EWR hotel stay

Found hair in bathtub and on floor at arrival. No elevators, so if you have bags, it is a real pain tricking them up stairs. [Less]

Perfect Chelsea hotel

First timers to New York, we found this hotel located in a interesting neighborhood, close to subway and 2 stops from 42nd street. Early morning starts walking through the parade of flower shops [More] along 28th st stimulates the sensors. Rooftop bar provides a nice fresh air sanctuary at the end of the day to reflect. Did not experience any of the negatives mentioned in other posts, although the street has limited vehicle access due to ongoing building work down the street. Stayed on 16th floor, no noise from street, nor from rooftop entertainment Friday night. Room was cozy but adequate for two people. All in all a good introduction to NY. [Less]

Nice location, great value

Relatively luxurious at the price, fresh breakfast with nutritious options served starting early on weekdays, good wifi, etc. Well appointed and located for business. A/C a touch too loud in the room [More] but otherwise very comfortable. Would stay again! [Less]
Great hotel, uncertain neighborhood
By Van61
If you need to be in Newark, this is a great place to stay. I had a conference at Rutgers and the hotel was convenient, clean, and comfortable. It is close to the Newark Penn Station terminal, which [More] provides very frequent access to NYC via the new World Trade Center transit hub. My only real complaint is that the neighborhood is noisy and at least while I was visiting - was a hotbed of police activity. I could look out my window and believe I was witnessing an episode of COPS, as there were so many sirens and flashing lights going off every few minutes. The hotel is in a very old building that has been restored beautifully, but the windows don't really keep out the sound of the streets. So beware if you are a light sleeper - it may be hard to deal with the distraction. [Less]
Modern look and feel and very clean
Was not sure what to expect but we were all pleased with the overall experience. [Less]
