Fine for a short stay
By NYC12345678
We were in town for one night for a funeral. The room was comfortable and clean which is all we were looking for! There were minor things like the vanity was cracked and the TV was a little funky, [More] but nothing crazy. The one annoying thing was that my wife went to shower when we got home late and the diverter to switch to shower mode was broken and laying in pieces in the tub. Maintenance was there in about 2 minutes and he quickly realized we needed a new room, made the switch, brought us the keys to our new room next door and offered to move our things for us. So they could not have been nicer about it and it was all handled in under 10 mins but at 11:30 when I just wanted to go to bed, it was a little annoying. Obviously somebody knew it was broken and just ignored it! But overall it was fine for what we needed. If I was in the area I would stay there again but I wouldn't seek it out and would certainly go somewhere else if that place had a better price! [Less]
Great stay and friendly staff
By becsutt
I enjoy my stay at this hotel due to the friendly staff. The rooms were smaller than normal but one has to remember that this is New York. The rooms could be cleaned better. Breakfast staff was [More] awesome and there was a large variety of food items to eat. [Less]
Incredibly helpful and friendly staff!

This Holiday Inn Express was a great value especially considering the area. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us navigate Staten Island and NYC. The hot breakfast was [More] delicious and the staff in the breakfast area was extremely courteous and helpful. [Less]
Close to subway

Subway A,C is just one block away. Air conditioner fans are loud, had to shut it off. But the room temperature is OK despite A/C not running. [Less]
Your Staff Is What Makes You Great!
By janeecap
My husband and I arrived around 6 pm and were greeted warmly by Christina, Assata, Karin, and Kevin. We were celebrating our anniversary and were given a beautiful room with a view of the Verrazano [More] Bridge. We wanted to know where we could get a bottle of wine to celebrate. The front desk staff said, "Don't worry!" We weren't sure what that meant, so we just went out to dinner. When we returned, there was a knock on the door and we were presented with a bottle of champagne and a beautiful card signed by the front desk staff! This act of generosity and kindness made our night! The next morning we had a fabulous breakfast. More wonderful staff members including Afia, Bobby, Ben, and Han, made our special day go on and on! As I mentioned in the title--Your Staff Is What Makes You Great! Thank you! We will be back! [Less]

My New York Sanctuary
By Spaceage
Each time I am in New York and am flying out, I book my last night at this Holiday Inn. The reason I continue to return is because I feel quite at home here. The hotel is small, intimate, and [More] friendly. The staff I've encountered are always polite and helpful. My stay here has always allowed me to unwind and prepare for whatever destination I'm going to encounter when I leave. After running about in the City of New York, this place is great to unwind. I will always book this inn as long as it remains. The INN highlights my last day before leaving the city of my birth so I can let go and leave in good spirits.. [Less]
