Mommy/daughter weekend
By Lovemy2kiddos
We live on the OBX and after the hurricane, we needed to get out of dodge! I had already booked this trip but we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make it...but I decided we needed it for [More] sure. We really had a wonderful time. The only thing I wanted to point out was that the breakfast is really lacking. The pancake machine didn't work (the sweet lady that worked in there, tried and tried to get it functioning. It would work for a minute and then stop. You can see by the picture I attached, the tiny tiny pancake it pushed out for my daughter. The size of a dime.) I picked up 3 bagels that had mold on them and the juice (the apple) in the machine is watered down. Really tastes like water. All of the cereals were bran type cereals which my little girl (8 years old), won't eat. Maybe having a least Cheerios or rice krispies or an option like that would be a good addition. Anyway, other than that, we really enjoyed ourselves. [Less]
Great place to stay
By Annie Roonie Girl
I was delighted to see such a cheerful attending staff at the front desk. They checked us in quickly and was very professional. I liked how smooth everything went. As a HIE club member, I was [More] upgraded. I really loved my room. It was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Great job, Holiday Inn Express! The next time I'm in Raleigh I will stay with you again. Greeted like family!
My husband and I were in Cary to visit family and celebrate twin grandkids' birthday. We had a fine stay at the Holiday Inn at the intersection of I40 and Walnut street - it was convenient to all [More] the activities that we needed to attend. The staff welcomed us like we were long-time friends and frequent guests, even though this was our first stay! The grounds were clean and well-kept, the room was clean and comfortable. The only 2 places that I could see any room for improvement was to have offered pancakes or waffles at the breakfast buffet and to have a way to black out all the outside light while sleeping. The drapes were faux drapes over sheers, so the light did come through. [Less]
Hurricane Matthew Stay
By Midwesterner64
We arrived at the Holiday Inn Express as Hurricane Matthew arrived. There was no power, but the staff did their best to make sure we were comfortable and safe for the night. They even lent out [More] flashlights. Thank you! [Less]

We stayed here when our power was out from the hurricane. The beds were comfy and rooms were clean. It was a nice place to take a hot shower and snuggle in the comfy bed. Breakfast was nice with [More] lots of choices and the cinnamon roll was delish. Will recommend this hotel to our out of town guests. [Less]
