Embrace the pioneering spirit at our hotels in Oklahoma City, where cowboy culture mingles with high-art to honor this former cow town's Western heritage.
Families staying at our Oklahoma City hotels find nonstop fun in the Adventure District northeast of downtown. At the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum explore a replica cattle town complete with a blacksmith shop, train depot and saloon. The museum's galleries house an outstanding collection of Western-themed art, including James Earle Foster's mournful 'The End of the Trail' sculpture, honoring displaced Native Americans forced to leave their lands via the infamous Trail of Tears. A leafy rainforest at the Oklahoma City Zoo shelters chimpanzees and apes, while tall prairie grass attracts delicate butterflies to the Butterfly Garden. Our hotels in Oklahoma City are near the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum downtown, where 168 bronze chairs sit empty to honor those who died in the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The Oklahoma City Museum of Art, a few blocks south, has a large collection of Dale Chihuly's multi-color fantastical glass works.
Spend your evening in atmospheric Bricktown, where restaurants and bars occupy vintage warehouses bordering a pleasant canal. Order hand-cut steaks, tender ribs, or juicy burgers and wash it down with a glass of hearty red wine or a pint of locally-brewed beer. After dinner hire a water taxi for a romantic ride along the canal before returning to our Oklahoma City hotels, or kick up your heels dancing to live country bands at a neighborhood club.
Book a stay at our Holiday Inn® Oklahoma City hotels in June for the pageantry and parades of Red Earth, the largest Native American festival in the world. Visit in September to watch cowboys ride bucking bulls at the Oklahoma State Fair.

I think the parking is a pain and shouldn't have to pay for that. The A/C never seemed to cool properly. The room seemed muggy.[Less]
