Featured Knoxville Hotels

Book one of our Holiday Inn® hotels in Knoxville, Tennessee. Browse local artists' work at the Museum of Art before spending a relaxing afternoon in Market Square, sipping iced sweet tea at a patio café.

The Knoxville Museum of Art collects a range of 20th- and 21st-century works by eastern Tennessee artists, from abstract paintings to mixed media mobiles and bronze sculptures. More than 800 animals, including such crowd-pleasers as Bengal tigers, African elephants and giraffes, draw visitors to the Knoxville Zoo, just a short drive from our Knoxville hotels. The world's largest basketball, a whopping 10-ton, orange-and-black sphere, rests atop the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. Part museum, part interactive sports venue, the hall honors women players of all levels and includes indoor courts where visitors can shoot hoops after their tour.

Our Knoxville hotels are near Market Square downtown, a favorite spot to shop, dine and relax over drinks. Once Knoxville's original city market in 1854, Market Square now hosts a bountiful farmer's market, spring through autumn. Knoxville kids love to play splashy tag during the summer in the central spouting fountain. Nearby antiques shops sell silver candle holders and primitive Southern crafts, and boutiques offer trendy hats and leather jackets. Relax at an outdoor patio on the square, dining on Tennessee barbecued ribs or chicken-fried steak and glasses of sweet tea. After hours, order a tumbler of golden Tennessee whiskey. Guests of our hotels in Knoxville enjoy First Friday downtown, a monthly evening of gallery openings and live music at art galleries, pubs and in Market Square.

Stay at our Holiday Inn hotels in Knoxville in spring, when an hour's drive to Great Smoky Mountains National Park reveals blooming rhododendrons and redbuds, or in fall, when the park's hardwoods burst into brilliant reds and oranges.

Outstanding property
By cassandra47
My wife and dog were needing a night out. We were greeted with smiles and excitement. We had a wonderful room. The staff was so friendly to all of us, especially our dog. Just a wonderful experience. [More] We will be back many times in the future. [Less]
Dusty but a good value
By Jamabear
Nice stay at an affordable rate. Located near plenty of restaurants and in the heart of Vol country.....room cleanliness was average at best with layers of thick dust on the closet vented door. [More] Overall, a good value! [Less]
awesome shower, very comfortable bed
By sievcat
Stayed there to visit UT with our daughter for a campus tour. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had 2 rooms, the shower in my room looked like it had recently been [More] updated, it was one of the best showers I've ever used in a hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its only 1 block from Market Square which was a big plus. The only downside was the hallway got noisy at times (people talking, doors slamming) but that is not Crown Plaza's fault. Next time I will turn on the fan to drown out the noise so it should be a non-issue. We definitely plan on staying there in the future and do recommend it to other families. [Less]
Quiet and clean rooms
By Galaxy57
This hotel is new and up to date. Everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was a great size for handling extra luggage. It also had a iron and ironing board. The air unit was [More] quiet. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for a toothbrush which was provided. We are not early risers, so longer breakfast hours would be nice. Towels were plush and clean, very nice! Plenty of bed pillows. The hotel was quiet. Plenty of vanity space in the bathroom for guests toiletries. Coffee maker and hair dryer provided. And a full length mirror. [Less]
OK room

Convenient and clean

Nice place
By Scottstc
This is a very nice place to stay with a great breakfast. Our only complaint was the frame the bed sits on. It's made out of metal so every time you roll over it sounds like timpani drum. [Less]
Love the Renovations!
By Mike, East TN Local
Looking for a motel convenient to Knoxville and the Smoky Mountains? Definitely give this location a look! The new renovations make this location a much improved spot to book your stay. As a local, [More] who takes "power breaks" periodically from work's daily grind, I have chosen to stay at several other local Holiday Inn Express locations, in addition to this one. Must admit this location is not usually my first choice for these breaks, but this most recent experience compels me to consider this location as a possible first choice when booking in the future.
