The vast Englischer Garten is a welcome oasis in the city centre. A green expanse of manicured lawns and tranquil lakes, this peaceful park is home to several beer gardens and restaurants. Rent a bike or head out for a run on more than 70km of multipurpose trails. The Isar and Eisbach rivers flow through the park, with the latter’s continuous man-made wave attracting daring surfers all year round.

Hofbräuhaus Munich must be part of every tourist's travel plan! Hofbräuhaus offers excellent beer, food, and the unique experience of a large traditional beer hall. There used to be many of these in Munich city centre up until WW2 when a lot of them vanished.

Lunch at HAXNBAUER restaurant in Munich’s old town! Pork knuckle is like a synonym for Bavarian food culture and you will not get it better than at this traditional restaurant. Make sure to negotiate a piece of meat right from the large charcoal grill and combine it either with potato dumplings and gravy or salad. Do not forget to wash down this culinary delight with a freshly drafted beer.

Munich is known worldwide for the quality of its beers, and one of its most famous breweries is a 20-minute drive from the hotel. WEIHENSTEPHAN is the world’s oldest brewery. It was established almost 1000 years ago by monks of the equally named monastery. Tours are offered on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 10am. Pre-registration is necessary.
