We came for the fall foliage trip. Enjoyed a lot in Clinton. Enjoyed stay at hotel and had a good night sleep as we had to get up early for hot air balloon ride. No complaints.

Wedding stress elevated!

I have used this hotel before for getting ready for a wedding and did not have any problems, but that was also several years ago. This past weekend I ran into every problem in the book! as far as the rooms for my guests and I they were horrendous! Several lights not working, several outlets not working, tub stopped doesnt stay up, sink facet leaks when used, dirty rooms upon arrival (i.e. pieces of hair weave draped over lampshade, dust filling the closet, splatter of who knows what on the toilet seat). And that's not just one room, that is multiple rooms. some guests had to wait to check in/out due to no one being at the front. my room block for the guests price was more than current deal that was going on, not to mention I was informed they could only give me so many rooms to block off because they were expected to be super busy that weekend. Personally I saw very few people there. And clearly they were understaffed for what they thought was going to be a very busy weekend. The person I was in contact with for room blocking and my bridal suite apparently no longer works there and my emails were never answered. Which by the way the bridal suite is nothing different than a regular room so don't think your getting something special because your not! when brought up issues to front desk manager was not on shift, was told I would get a call later that day from him, well I had to call him to discuss issues. For a time of global scare with a pandemic going on you would think there would be more care into cleaning and sanitizing the rooms to make guests feel more safe. Between the first night and second night no one every came by to clean the room or make the bed which is a basic hospitality action. So very concerned for other guests and their stay there with the issues and concerns that I had and that was only for 2 nights for less than 10 guests total...
Not to mention to rudeness of the bartender! Being told they need a credit card to hold before we could even order our drinks or apps? Listen if there is a problem with people walking out in their tab either the staff isn't paying enough attention to the guests for them to be able to walk out or you need to grab at least room numbers in order to charge it to if someone walks out on a tab. Not demand a credit card before even introducing yourself, which he didn't do either. And when I guest is asking to review the tab because they think maybe a few drinks when in his tab that he didn't order (there were many tabs going on at the time) then kindly go through it with the guest, not jump to well thats what you drank and your going to pay thr tab or im calling the cops in less then a second flat. Overall did not have much hospitality from the staff except for the nice young lady that is at the front desk on the weekends.

This hotel has slipped

The hotel has gone downhill since my last stay. There was no one at the desk upon check-in (I waited ten minutes), no coffee cups in the room, no do not disturb sign and no bathmat. It was however, clean and gave every indication that the staff is working to keep the guests safe.

Stayed for a wedding under a block. Price was way too high for this place. It’s old and dirty and is in desperate need of a refresh. From the moment you park as you’re walking in, old planters full of cigarette butts, BLM posters all over walls. Front dedd as k staff had me change rooms half way through even though we spoke about it the day prior, they claim it wasn’t in the notes. The room was dirty and smelled of stss as le smoke. Stains all over, shower curtain was torn. Keys kept needed to be reprogrammed or something, I guess battery was low on lock, who knows. There was a story for everything. Never stay there again if I can help it.
