Back in 2010-2011 when I was regularly working in London and having to stay overnight I used to stay at this hotel and always found it very homely. The breakfasts were always good!
April 27th was my wife's birthday and as she loves London so much, as a birthday treat I had booked two night stay here 27/29th. And what a welcome we received. It was like being greeted as family by the male receptionist, yes the men can do just as good a job as the women!
I had made the booking as a Priority Club card holder. Sadly as pensioners we cannot indulge as we used to do so our stays at the Holiday Inn are not as frequent as we would like them to be.
We were welcomed by reception and given an upgrade to an executive room on the first floor, and as we had pre-booked dinner for the two nights, were treated to a glass of bubbly on her birthday evening which was very special. And who says hotels and their staff do not have heart?
The dinner was superb as were all the meals we had at the hotel, and the room was excellent, just as I remember.
Well done to the staff at the Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury (lovely area) who treated us so very very well and made my wife's birthday treat extra-special.
Whether or not we will be able to stay here again depends on the changes the company makes to the Rewards Club system for those of us who have used the club frequently in the past but, due to changed financial circumstances, cannot use it as often as previously.
We would certainly want to return to this hotel. This visit was made all the more special by the welcoming and service of the staff
One minor thing. Could maintenance fit the panel on the side of the bath properly? It is the finishing touches that are very important.

The rooms are very small and old, there is no place to move in the room,The furniture is very old and there is no value for money

lovely this time compared to my last visit. room was excellent. My only issue was the long wait at reception to check in, could an IHG desk be available please
