Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Great location, friendly staff. We stayed one night to go to a Yankees game, and I would definitely do it again. The front desk staff were very patient and clear, helping me to understand how to use the subway to get to the game, which turned out to be extremely easy from this location. My husband and I took our two kids, and we felt safe, even coming back to the hotel at 11pm. The subway station is only about a two minute walk from the hotel. There are also several terrrific restaurants within walking distance (about a 10 minute walk, and easy to find). Room was clean. Parking was an additional $20 for the night, and they let us pay an extra $10 the next day to leave the car there while we took the subway into the city for sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again! 15. April 2015

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by April in the city We stayed at this hotel only one night. Our room was nice and clean, hotel was very quiet even though our room was directly across from the elevator. View from our window was beautiful. There was no room in the parking garage, but there is a parking lot right next to the hotel for the same price, and also plenty of parking on the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is close to the city and very easy to get to the city from it, but not in the crazy busy area. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. 13. Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Superb Staff / Accomodations I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Long Island City-Manhattan View on numerous occasions over the last 6-8 years. The location and access to NYC make it a remarkable value in contrast to price and room size in Manhattan, I have personally witnessed the evolution of this hotel. The Management staff is professional and customer oriented. The restaurant and bar area has become a favorite with lolcals as well as guests. The fitness center is adequate and the indoor pool is quite refreshing at the end of a work day. To truly enhance your stay; book a balcony room ! Whether you view the Manhattan skyline or every day life in Long Island City...it will be an experience! 13. April 2015
Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Best value hotel in NYC We stayed at this hotel during our most recent vacation to NYC. We were so amazed by the value. First of all, this hotel is a fraction of the price of Manhattan hotels. Yet, it is less than a block away from the N and Q lines which take you right into Manhattan in only two stops (these lines then follow Broadway, roughly, so they are good for most of the touristy destinations). We were routinely in midtown within 20 minutes of closing our hotel room door. The actual hotel appears new, and while it has a small profile (only ~6-8 rooms on each floor), there are 17 floors and no other tall buildings nearby, giving it a great unobstructed view of NYC. We were on the side away from Manhattan, but being on the 16th floor the view was still beautiful. The staff were great. Everywhere looked very clean. There is a little hole-in-the-wall latin deli/convenience store right at the hotel entrance, which we loved. Others might not like the food there, but it is a great place to stock up on cheap snacks and drinks to save money in NYC. We heard good things about the Brazilian barbecue on premises, but didn't try it. We were sad to go and even as we were walking away, we kept talking about how great the hotel was. This place is now without question our first choice of accommodation in NYC. Aside: It was a breeze getting here from LGA. From any terminal in LGA, you can take the Q70 Ltd to Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Avenue ($2.50/person), then take the E train one stop west to Queen's Plaza. It is then a three block walk north to the hotel. The N/Q trains are closer to the hotel, but transferring to them from the E is a waste of time since you're only three blocks away anyway... 10.
