I asked for an upgrade as I thought the bed was small, i was told i could have an executive room for an additional £35ish (can't remember exactely) which i paid but the room was no different at all other than it had a fridge. the bed was the same size and the sidetables was to far from the bed so i presume the original bed for the upgrade excecutive room had been swapped at some stage. I did tel this to the reception staff when they asked how my upgrade was but i wasn't offered my money back....Very dissapointing, I feel ripped off!

First time at the holiday Inn hotel and felt somewhat awkward as a disabled guest as I needed assistance.
Saturday night was a total nightmare the alarm went off just gone midnight, other guest were naturally rushing through the corridors. As standard procedure, I expected some kind of assistance but it never came which was absolutely ridiculous. We spent time outside without an explanation until it was safe to return to our rooms once again without assistance. Upon my departure Sunday morning I rang for help with getting my suitcase etc to my vehicle. A young lady arrived with the trolley which she loaded up. I stopped in the foyer to check out and make enquiries regarding the incident the night before. The young lady in question understandably started to assist behind the desk with other guest who were booking out. I waited for sometime she eventually asked. Do you need help to your car" I replied yes as I stood with the aid of 2 walking sticks. After sometime a young man came along and assisted me. I'm of the opinion that some of the staff would benefit from a refresher course.

At time off my arrival, it was overcrowded with people at the entrance, loud music, very noisy. I had heavy luggage, but was put in the basement room at the end of the corridor. There was no lift to the basement floor. I had to carry my luggage on the stairs. Furthermore the fire alarm went off after midnight, but there was no announcement of evacuation. People were coming out of there room and asking each other if this it's a real fire alarm or prank. Overall I had a bad experience. This is my 2nd time bad experience during my stay at a Holiday Inn.
