It's always our first choice of hotel in Coventry, mainly due to the staff you have. They're always friendly and efficient :) February 1, 2016

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Restaurant issue Very disappointed that when booking a DB&B rate in advance I found the restaurant closed, despite being offered a dinner reservation time at check-in. If I wanted to eat in a bar I would not book at a Holiday Inn and am very disappointed in the response by the hotel management. One missed call to me - "I will try you again" - which never happened. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Seems to focus more on conference attendees We've stayed at a few holiday Inns, the rooms at this hotel are a lot smaller than normal, having said this they are comfortable and clean. We stayed in the standard room before and it was very small. We upgraded to the executive room which is a little bit bigger The hotel has many conference rooms and seem to focus on individuals using the rooms and not couples. The reason we say this is because we've stayed here twice and on both occassions we have to contact reception to ask for another chair, bathrobe etc etc They are very good and will sort this out quickly, but when you're on a time limit you don't want to be letting staff in and out when you're getting ready. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Old Fashioned but Well Priced We stayed at this Holiday Inn as we were exhibiting at the Rioch Arena 15 minutes away. We used the Priority Club sat nav to go to the hotel only to find that it takes you 4 miles away from the true location. Google maps and the postcode takes you right to the front door. The Hotel looks very dated (60's) from the outside but the reception is very open and modern. The hall ways are low but it is all clean and well presented. The room we had (529) was clean but not as much space as more modern hotels, the furniture was well worn with stuffing showing on the chairs. The room could only handle a 4ft 6" bed so was quite compact for the 2 of us and unfortunately it did sag in the middle. The bathroom was clean but it had been refurbished but the plumbing was still old and it took a while for the loo to fill again and the shower is an old Mira electric shower. I cannot complain as the room was well priced and included breakfast. The heating in the room at this hotel is set so you find it is hot, if you want cool you have to open the window, no happy medium. If I were paying full listed price I would have felt a little cheated. The Restaurant was quiet on the night we visited but the food served was of high quality. The Breakfast is by far the best I have experienced at any hotel, it was fresh, a good variety of both hot and cold choice with a chef that cared about everything 10/10 for this.
