Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Swimming pool changing room The hotel was excellent quality. I did not understand how to work the shower. The rooms have been refurnished since my last visit and are very good.. I was stopping the night with my wife and grandchildren. In the afternoon we made use of the swimming pool. The pool it’s self was clean, however the changing rooms were a disgrace. They are in bad need of a refurbishment. Do not take any valuables into the changing room as you may not have a locker with a key. The member of staff on duty appeared embarrassed because of the key situation. 26 March 2015

It is great for my purposes as it is near work, and ideal location to visit Cheshire Oaks for shopping, cinema and bowling also within easy distance. 23 March 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Two Nights Booked but stayed just One On the internet photographs the hotel appeared exceptional - very modern and beautiful. On arrival, the exterior appeared old-fashioned and drab. There was a smell of cooking in the reception area. The internet description spoke of the canal views from the guest rooms...Imagine my disappointment when I entered the room and saw that the windows were covered with condensation and some dirt on the outside. The canal water was filthy. I had requested a twin bedded room as my friend (also female) and I were sharing a room. The only such room available had two double beds. These caused a lack of space in the room. There was no small tea table in the room with the usual two chairs and no suitcase rack. The room felt drab and I could not relax there after my long journey. The room and the bathroom were both clean. The positive side of this Holiday Inn was the staff. They were friendly, caring and welcoming. We stayed just one night. 21 March 2015

She really enjoyed it and all the staff made such a fuss of her. Food was excellent and good value and room was large, clean and very comfortable. 18 March 2015
