The reception staff on duty could not have been more welcoming and efficient.
There was a friendly reception in the bar for a pre-dinner drink.
My evening meal (teriyaki salmon) was very tasty and well cooked)
My bedroom was in need of refurbishment but comfortable enough. First appearance was marred by absence of any trimming to the base of bed (i.e. just plywood and supporting rails and structure visible)
There weren't enough electrical sockets.
The bathroom was very cramped.

Hotel pleasant, clean and comfortable, good facilities and good value. The service was friendly and helpful, but we had mixed experience with the food: breakfast mostly pretty good, but aspects of dinner poor (e.g. very soggy veg). However, the good outweighs the bad - will definitely use again.

No recognition of Platinum status - No upgrade, Bonus points or drink offered!
Food - Meal served was poor - Wilted and brown lettuce on salad.
Breakfast - Service was poor, slow or non existent. The 2 elderly ladies were rushed off there feet. I was asked if I wanted tea or coffee and never received it. In end I got my own. Poor selection at breakfast as I had to request on 3 mornings for additional cereals to be replenished and for more milk!
Room - Cleanliness was very poor in the bathroom! Bodily hairs in sink and bath and on floor!
Generally a poor stay and considering I visit IHG hotels a 100+ times a year the fact I writing this tells of my displeasure!
