Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff The staff at this newly refurbished hotel were great. There were a lot of blind people there with their dogs and the staff were brilliant and very supportive. Interestingly there was no Braille around and certainly not on the doors to help these diasbled people find their rooms - etc - this would be an easy addition to make. The shower in the room we stayed in was very weak and was worse than I have experienced in many other hotels. Otherwise great. 24 March 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel It is always a pleasure to return to this excellent hotel, the reception staff are perfect, nothing is too much trouble, but this could be said of all the staff I come across, the hotel is always very clean and tidy. The breakfast is very good with a great selection of hot and cold food. There is a good gym the pool is okay if a bit small. The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with shopping, bars and restaurants all on its front door. The reason I enjoy staying at this hotel is the service of the staff make it far superior than similar hotels. 17 March 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Communication We did receive a courtesy call to say the restaurant and bar would not be available during the Friday of our stay. What was not explained was that the ground floor was under complete renovation. The temporary restaurant was not really adequate with a poor selection of meals available. Fortunately across the street is a very good selection of places to eat, which we did use. We were not recognised as Platinum members and nor were some of the benefits we should have had fulfilled. The room was barely adequate and the shower over the bath was of low pressure also there was 2 people in the room and only enough amenities for 1. The room was opposite the lift/elevator which proved to be very noisy at times and of course no other rooms were available. I would find it difficult to recommend this property and upon check out we were not asked if our stay was acceptable and the bill was handed to us as a folded piece of paper not in an envelope etc. 12 March 2015
