Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 A great start to our cruise
We booked to go on the Anthem of the Seas maiden voyage, due to sail April 22nd 2015. As we usually travel down by car, we leave the day before and travel down to Southampton at our leisure, making frequent stops on the way. Having booked into the Holiday Inn on previous cruises we booked again. We were very surprised at the changes. The room was brilliant, overlooking the port. The evening meal we had was very tasty and was hot. Bed was heavenly and you sank into the pillows. Even though we were excited at the prospect of our cruise, we had a very restful and peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast was self-service and there was so much choice. I can only use skimmed milk so, when I couldn't see any I asked a young waitress if the had any. She said she would go and ask. Two minutes later she appeared by my side with a jug of skimmed milk. Result!! Will certainly use this hotel again and any other branch in the country if this is anything to go by.The icing on the cake!? -opening the curtains in the morning to see our ship tied up at her berth!!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Grumpy Guest FFS Executive room?
I normally book a 'basic' room but paid quite a bit extra on this occasion as there were no basic rooms available. When I checked in I asked if the internet was faster because I was in an Executive Room and was told, no, that I'd have to pay extra. I was told nothing else.
On checking out, I asked what was different about "Executive Rooms" as I didn't notice anything. I was told there were extra features but it wasn't obvious and NO ONE TOLD ME! I felt the guy at the counter either didn't understand my grievance or didn't care. He said he'd follow up but I've yet to hear anything...
Not at all impressed.
