The room was not particularly clean. I pulled the desk out and it was quite dirty with coffee rings on it, the bed skirt had stains all over it, the office chair had sticky splatter stains all over it. The door to the room also would not shut unless you slammed it, and you could hear the neighbours and all hall noises. Also found a long dark hair when I pulled back the covers on the bed. The room was however, a good size.

The hotel was noisy with people and kids running up and down the hallways all night long. Hotel staff should advise guests not to make any noise in the hallways as it disturbs other guests.

Our one night stay in mid-March was a disapointment. The room was shabby with peeling wallpaper, dingy carpets and cracked tiles anddoor frames. It did not make us feel very safe, and was not up to the standards of the Holiday Inn further up Dixon road. There were also very noisy children running around the halls until well after 11:30pm. Since we had to get up for a very early flight the next morning, this greatly reduced our ability to get a good night's rest.

I found this hotel to be quite sufficient as it's close to the airport and has shuttle service
also Has a Perkins restaurant attached for a quick breakfast

Being a member of the IHG reward group, I have come to expect great standards in Hotel. The Holiday Inn Toronto-Airport East Hotel delivered those standards very well. They were able to accommodate my check-in requests without any situations and provided a very comfortable stay environment. The hotel had a very excellent Perkins Restaurant that also provided room service and discounts for holiday inn guests. In addition, there were many fine restaurants within 10 minutes walk of the hotel. Even though you are in the airport location, the amenities around the hotel did not make you feel that you are in a secluded, remote area.
