Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cleaning staff forgot to close my room door. On my second night, after spending the whole day out in Toronto, I came back to my suite. As I was coming up to the door, I noticed the suite door open. Automatically I started thinking it was a brake in. I thought my ipad was gone along with my other belongings. Well it wasn't a break in. My belongings were still there. Then I relised that it was just the cleaning crew not closing a door. It sent me on an emotional roller coaster, was not helpfull just before bed time. 24 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great guest service typical hotel room, clean with bare essentials. Hotel restaurants was quite pricy and Would have appreciated local information in room. The service however was outstanding. Concierge service as well as front desk service was very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to accommodate. I would recommend this hotel based solely on the service as well as location. Very easy to get to so close to 401 made travelling in and out quick and out of traffic. 22 February 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing I have been a long time guest at this hotel, and my last 2 visits have been disappointing. Pros: close to airport, convenient location - restaurants, highways nearby, rooms are comfortable enough. Some of the staff who have been there for some time are still fabulous and go above and beyond to help set things straight. Cons - why should the staff have to straighten things out? At check in, I was not greeted as a priority club member. Was not offered the choice of goody bag or bonus points - in fact I don't think I received bonus points for my 7 night stay. Was put in a room next to the elevator, my profile requests AWAY from elevator. I asked to be moved and was placed in a small room on a regular floor. If I was staying for one night, I wouldn't even complain...but SEVEN nights? The check in process was painful, the staff member seemed confused, inexperienced and not so friendly. Wasted quite a bit of my time to be honest. The above was resolved by 2 long time staff members, which I greatly appreciated, however I did not expect such a headache at check in. Did not receive express check out bill - had to request a copy. This is not the first time this has happened at this hotel. I was charged for parking - I thought Platinum members got free parking? I used to rave about this hotel, I may give it one more try in the future, however based on last 2 experiences - if I had not received such nice treatment at other IHG hotels, I would (and still may) reconsider my loyalty. Disappointing and very difficult for me to write a negative review as I really do appreciate some of the staff at this hotel. 21 February 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Alarming Stay! stayed at the airport holiday inn Feb 13 to the 16th as I had business in the area and needed my rest. To my surprise the hotel had a fire alarm at 1am and it wasn't handled properly. No one could get a hold of any staff members, so I decided to get dressed and head to the lobby. As I'm heading down the stairs many other guests decided to do the same thing. Needless to say we were in the lobby for an hour and a half until the fire dept. checked over the hotel. No explanation of what was going on just someone at the front desk giving us the OK to head back to our rooms. Not a very good experience!!! 20 February 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Service, Friendly staff Good lighting in the bathroom to be able to put makeup on in the morning, NOT the ecco low light that so many hotels have now days. This is a good basic hotel. The room was a good size and clean. Beds were comfortable. We experienced, what we thought was an issue with the hot water, and someone was at our door within 5 min to see what the problem was. As it turns out, we were turning the faucet too far over. My husband was having problems connecting his laptop to WiFi. He called the desk and they told him to bring his laptop down and helped resolve the issue. Would certainly use this hotel again 19 February 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Outdated This hotel needs to be updated. Beds are old carpet is old the pillows were old and small. When you have a king size bed the pillows shouldn't be small. the whole hotel is outdated and needs to updated. Also the bathroom is the smallest bathroom I've every seen. 15 February 2015
