Stayed one night on a bed, breakfast and dinner deal. Arrived to discover some refurbishment to the restaurant area so needed to take dinner in the bar which was ok as the hotel was quiet. Duty manager Luke Denton was superb in ensuring all went smoothly. Room very comfortable and hotel is in a good location.

I love this hotel It is truly what one expects from a good Holiday Inn. I have now stayed here a few times and I am always very happy. The rooms are large, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The shower is great and the TV tea facilities etc are superb. The staff are magnificent. If you want to stay here and you are indecisive then take my word for it... you will love this hotel... I promise !

Very nice hotel, clean and good food. The only let down was after staying in two bedrooms I found them noisy.

During my recent visit on business I unfortunatly become unwell and had to attend the local Hospital , thankfully the problem has been addressed and I'm now on the road to full recovery.
The effort made by the staff was totally outstanding to help me get the urgent medical attention I required. I will never forget what they did for me.

I have now stayed at the holiday inn, Wakefield on many occasions and have always been made to feel welcome and comfortable. The staff really do go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is a pleasant one.

Having gone down to breakfast and 8.30am on a weekday you would expect some food to be cooked. I sat there for 20 minutes and watched 6 more people arrive and throughout that time not one of the two staff on bothered to check if the food need to be topped up. I was greeted by two rashes of bacon, some beans with a dry skin on them, no eggs, no sausages and no mushrooms, This situation did not change from 8.30 to 8.50. At this point I decided that the money I paid wasn't worth it so visited reception and spoke to the Duty Manager who as you would expect apologised and then asked the girl to get the food stocked up. By this time I had to leave so was not in a position to wait. Now I understand that people have to apologise but it doesn't help when as business people we are on schedules. What the two staff in the restaurant were doing is baffling, other than stocking up cupboards. Will I stay again ? No so please don't give me the standard apology and hope that I will come back so you can provide a better experience. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. I will take my business to another more welcoming and attentive Holiday Inn
