Holiday Inn hotel, Holiday Inn staff but not Holiday Inn service.
Hotel looking clean and tidy. Slept well.
Staff battling admirably with restaurant refurbishment, not helped by inaccuracies of central booking over adjustments. Food still good quality and range is excellent but make sure you are not in a rush.

I was very disappointed by my stay at the Holiday Inn in Woking. However I have to emphasise that this had nothing to do with the staff and the service I received from the staff in the hotel they were lovely! So though it is true that rude staff can spoil even the most beautiful surroundings equally lovely professional staff cannot make up for poor surroundings and food.
I was staying on business and I have stayed before - the benefit is the proximity this hotel has to my offices. On this occasion that was the only benefit! The hotel is tired and I was allocated a disabled room which just as a standard room would not meet the needs of someone in a wheelchair - a disabled room does not suit someone ablebodied. The room was tired and got very warm through the night. It was noisy and there was no drinking water in the room - I have no problem being charged for bottled water in the room but I like to have it available. The final straw was the fact that when I went for breakfast everything was finished and I had no time to wait. There was no bar area with seating to relax with colleagues - though I understand the hotel is undergoing refurbishment.
