The Jakarta History Museum, also known as Fatahillah Museum, is a museum located in the Kota Tua. The museum is housed in the former city hall building of Batavia, the old Dutch colonial name for Jakarta, which was built in 1710. The building is a fine example of Dutch colonial architecture displays a variety of artifacts and historical items that relate to the history of Jakarta, including maps, photographs, ceramics, weapons, furniture, and traditional costumes.
