The winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, as well as a fantastic museum on-site, is one of the greatest historic treasures within Lee County. In 1885, Thomas Edison first visited Florida and purchased property along the Caloosahatchee River and built a vacation home. There are 3-900-gal aquariums, a 500-gal living coral reef tank, a touch tank & an outdoor lagoon w/attractions such as alligators, octopus, eels, sharks & a variety of other sea species.
