Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice staff/rooms! Holiday Inn® Austin Midtown had a very nice staff, as well as their accommodations. The only thing that they failed to do was to let us know that there was not a complimentary breakfast, but instead you had to purchase a breakfast voucher while booking your hotel. However, a male concierge was nice enough to discount our breakfast for the second morning which saved us a ton of money on food! The location of the hotel is kind of sketchy, but only because it's an older part of town where many businesses have closed. I absolutely enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would consider staying here during my next trip to ATX! March 20, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Service The hotel was clean - however the service was DREADFUL. The only helpful people in the entire hotel was one employee - otherwise everyone was completely miserable. We called to ask for extra blankets and the lady at the front desk said it wasn't the security guards job to deliver extra blankets and at no point did we ever ask the security guard to do so. We asked for towels and the same situation - it was not their job to send them up and we waited for over an hour. Unfortunately it is their job we are paying for a service that wasn't given. They charged my credit card for the entire room on the day we booked it and when we made the reservation they told us it would be charged on the day of checkout which we were going to pay cash and the lady who checked us out also stated that there was nothing she could do. A night shift employee was probably the worst employee I have seen in the hospitality industry. She was extremely rude and had an attitude at all points. March 10, 2015
