Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service nice people Love this hotel. Stay here when I am in Baltimore for any reason. Disappointed in the parking fee going up, but at least didn't have to worry were to park during a game May 24, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient to Inner Harbor locations, not too convenient otherwise Stayed in mid-May 2016 for a conference and it was a lackluster experience. Avoid the restaurant at all costs - I got in late and just went down for a quick bite the first night. I was the ONLY customer there. My server took my order, and then... disappeared. I finally went to the bar myself to get my drink. Then flagged down someone else to get a water refill and had them check on my order, which had apparently been ready for a while. I went into the kitchen when I was done to ask for my check. First time in my life I haven't left a tip. The room was comfortable. Plenty of pillows (soft and firm), nice mattress. Light blocking curtains did a good job of allowing sleep. The alarm clock was easy to set. The room had a mini-fridge which vibrated on its stand and caused the whole unit to buzz loudly, but some creative jostling fixed that. The people mover train runs directly next to the hotel, so if rumbling bothers you, don't stay here. Also, there is a fire station directly across the street. So... there's that. Trains and fire trucks. If I were 6 years old I would have LOVED it. For sleeping, not so much. The hot water took more than 5 minutes to come up to temperature. I can only assume that the only water heaters are on the lower floors. Very inconvenient. I also was nearly scalded in the shower when the water went from "pleasantly warm" to "boil lobster" instantaneously. Room service was decent (I know, why did I try it after the restaurant experience?). Meal was correct, reasonably warm. Didn't come with silverware, but a quick call had someone at my door within 3 minutes to remedy that. That's good service. There was a sketchy elevator while I was there. The inner door closed about 4/5 of the way so that you could watch the wall as you went up and down. And the digital readout was fun. 1... 2... 3... 4... G... 7.... 6... 9... 0... 11. The thing that seals the deal for me is the internet access. Standard hotel wireless dial in - connect to the Wifi, open the browser, put in the code. Speed is terrible. Ostensibly 5Mb/s download speed but I was luck to see 1Mb/s. Connection dropped every 10 minutes or so in the middle of browsing sessions. Staff were nice, place was clean. Location was excellent - right around the corner from the conference center, Camden Yard. None of the complaints I had are terrible, and my stay was FAR from the worst hotel experience I've ever had. But I'm going to avoid the place next time I visit Baltimore. May 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect location for Orioles games, convenient to inner harbor This holiday inn location was 1-2 blocks from Orioles Park at Camden Yards. Very convenient for a game. Walk to the inner harbor was pretty short (less than 10 minutes) and the area felt very safe. Hotel front desk staff was very friendly. Lobby and halls were very clean. Pool was larger than I expected and had some nice seating areas around it. Room was a good size. Beds were comfortable. Cleaning staff seems to be doing a good job. Bathroom really needs some updating. Bath fitter style tubs which looked very old and in need of being replaced. A few small spots of wallpaper tearing in the bathroom as well. Clean, but in need of maintenance/overhaul. There was a firehouse across the street and a hospital 2 blocks away, so we did hear occasional sirens during the night (not constant, but did happen a few times). We did not hear any noise at all from other rooms or the hallway. Overall, it was good. We were able to stay using points, so I can't speak much about the value, but it was a high number of points per night. And parking was $30/day. May 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfort of stay, ease of check in and check out Staff was great, lots of friendly smiles. Room service was on time, the amenities were sufficient for my stay, room was very clean. May 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room vs Extras The room was comfortable, clean and more than adequate for our stay. The only downfalls were the $25 parking fee and there was no complimentary or continental breakfast included. The price for a small breakfast was very high. May 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Love staying here when the yankees are in town. A couple of blocks from Camden Yards, and a few more blocks from the inner harbor. May 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by baltimore the only down fall was a breakfast buffet that was....fair at best and expensive... May 3, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Would not stay here again Housekeeper pounded on our door waking my whole family up at 8:00 a.m. asking if we were going to check out. There should be a better way for the hotel to communicate which guests are checking out. The room smelled musty and moldy. April 27, 2016
