Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and Quiet Room This hotel was about what I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable and the housekeeping staff were quick to make up the room. I noticed that there was an automatic gratuity added when I had breakfast in the restaurant. This may have contributed to the lackadaisical service I received and was the reason I only ate once in the hotel restaurant. While the hotel was well kept, I must say that the professionalism and dress of some of the front counter staff left something to be desired. July 31, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Needs a major overhaul and customer service training! This hotel is extremely dated. Almost every aspect of it is old and worn out. I have been staying at this hotel numerous times over the past 5 years as I pass through Billings. I keep hoping that they will do something with it. I have to say that I am now done with it. I stayed there for the last time the other night. When I checked in the front desk staff was not friendly and acted like they were too busy to check me in. I had booked a room with two queen beds, but I really don't think they were queen size as stated. They truly felt like they were double beds. We also ate at the restaurant which is normally very good, but the friendly staff that I was used to was all gone and replaced by all new people that while nice, weren't as friendly. Oh and one more thing, what major hotel runs out of soap! There was none in the room, and when asked they said they were out...really??? Management at this hotel needs to take note that they need to invest in this aging property. Over the past 5 years the average price for staying has literally doubled from my experience, but no improvements ever happen, other than adding a new sign on the outside with the new Holiday Inn logo (which they were probably forced to.) Bottom line bring it up to the modern day and give it a renovation! July 30, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Older Hotel that needs updating The Grand is an older, but not historic hotel that desperately needs updates. The location is not particularly convenient to other sites within Billings, although it is right off the Interstate highway. The rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet so for a good night's rest they serve well. However, the rooms are spread out over a wide area and so many of them necessitate a long walk to get to other parts of the hotel. For some reason, the hotel also seems to think that just one bar of soap is adequate for both sink and tub for multiple guests. Overall, the Grand is not a bad place to stay, but for the price being charged there are many better options. July 30, 2015

We used reward nights and were charged a $25 per night convenience fee. Locked out the second day. We've stayed before in the tower rooms and they are somewhat nicer. July 29, 2015
