Front Desk Staff Needs Training

This hotel front desk staff is lacking training in the areas of hospitality and leadership.

The assistant front desk manager appears professional, attentive to operational needs going on, however, needs training on how to separate "Political" or perceived negative assumptions (assumed by managers or staff and then projected on to guests) regarding a guests situation or circumstances that she might not be aware of. She needs to practice and learn to collect all the needed information to help a guest, refraining from passing judgement in an unprofessional way. A front desk associate or manager should be the most positive point of contact for guests. Guests should never be made to feel like they are "problematic" by asking a question or needing to get the room rate corrected. The point is: even if a guest has extra needs or requires assistance from time to time, that's the key component of guest services; going the extra mile to make the stay enjoyable.


A guest is never the problem. True hospitality seeks to keep happy customers and make a stay in the hotel a truly positive experience.

I will not be coming back to this hotel. Life is too short to waste time interacting with unpleasant individuals that are paid to be happy and welcoming. That is their job! :)

My housekeeper took my stay from good to great with her great attitude in assisting me with extra garbage bags, kind and caring, and expeditious service.
Everyone did good but she did great!
