We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable. Nice pool! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with directions and advice on getting around town. Valet service was excellent and well worth the price. (Thanks again Corbin). Location great to all areas of Charleston and surrounding peninsulas. Price affordable, good value. Will stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the Holiday Inn Charleston Historic Downtown. Stephanie in sales was a huge help organizing the block of rooms, getting settled into a room (suite) which accommodated wedding morning hair and makeup time, and after wedding breakfast for guests to visit more. There was a little confusion with on line booking with our guests at the agreed to price, but it was fixed. The front desk was friendly and handed out our Guest Bags when guests checked in. The pool was nice and enjoyed by some of our guests. We enjoyed our breakfast with our guests at the restaurant after a night of celebrating. I loved the set up in our suite! Many of us got together in the library space to visit late into the night. Thank you for everything. It made our visit to Charleston memorable. PS The valets were super helpful!

The staff goes above and beyond meeting any needs and that is what sets this hotel apart. It is comfortable and modern. It is average pricing and a bit far from the downtown historic district, but close to the college area and a free trolley is right across the street.

The only positive memories associated with our 5 day stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of the valets and restaurant personnel. Special thanks go to the valets Ben and Mike C.. Thomas in the restaurant was always there to greet you with a warm greeting and ready to assist if needed. Lastly, Tracee did a super job keeping our room neat and presentable.
As for the remainder, we should have gone elsewhere.

Overall the stay was excellent. The mattress was a little too hard for my taste but the accommodations overall were very nice. The food in the restaurant was excellent. It was one of the best dinners I had while I was there.

Many expensive boutique hotels in Charleston. Some in the heart of the happenings. If you want to take in all that Charleston has to offer and save money on lodging so you can spend more on the Charleston experience the Holiday Inn is your choice. Ultra modern interior. Fantastic staff. Excellent spacey rooms. A short walk to much of the night life and a little more of a walk to the daytime happenings. I highly recommend this hotel. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in April. First time with this hotel but will definitely come back.

We were very pleased with our stay here. Although it is a little farther from the downtown area then I thought, the trolley was free and got us where we wanted to be. The staff in the breakfast dining area were awesome!! Truly- you don't find people like that these days and we were impressed. Just very sweet people! The hotel was nice and looks very new. The pool is nice. The only issue in our room was lighting for getting ready. It is tough to do makeup in that lighting and I don't wear that much. Other than that there was really nothing negative I could say!
I would recommend going to the visitors center upon your arrival! it is a short walk from the hotel- very convenient- and they have good tips on things to do. The plantation tour we did was amazing! The food was delicious everywhere we ate!
