On the plus side, it was quiet. But this hotel needs some updating. Our bed frame was squeaky and rattley. Bathroom wallboard was peeling off, toilet seat stained, and clock radio not working. The front lobby was not particularly inviting and the entrance not well marked. The breakfast buffet was excellent, but was not available at the scheduled time.

security at the bar arguing with the bride and not letting her family members go in without the picture IDs . They came in from Europe and they did not have their passports with them they left them at the house. Who brings the passports to the wedding ???? and they were all over age 40.

Our room was fine. The front desk staff was pleasant but had no idea what was going on and were completely unhelpful. We were attending a wedding and many guests were staying here - there was a shuttle service provided through the hotel but it was coordinated poorly and the front desk gave us inaccurate information about how many the shuttle seated. The shuttle was also very late - I understand traffic is uncontrollable but the reason the shuttle was late was because it made multiple trips and left late from the first trip onward. We were late to the event and another group was even later because we were told repeatedly we would all fit on one shuttle and did not need to sign up to reserve spots - that was not the case. So don't trust the shuttle service - they didn't have it together.

There appears to be no management or manager on property. I witnessed so many guest with simple complaints that escalated because the hotel staff was argumentative instead of helpful.
I walked into the bar area and the bouncer just nodded me through, but a group behind me "with foreign accents" were stopped and asked for their passports or ID, I was not asked for ID yet we appeared to all be around 40 - 50 yrs old. Thought that was questionable at best, if not completely wrong.
There are other options for hotels in the area, I would use one of those other options. This Holiday Inn just doesn't seem to get it...

We booked this hotel because of the lower points.
Pros: The value of the room and services for the points charged were very attractive.
Quite and bigger room.
Cons: Drive in entrance and exit is bit complex.
The room was quite but we found broken thermostat in the room with wires hanging which was a safety hazard. The standing shower in the bathroom did not have any soap or shampoo holder, you may have to leave those items on the shower floor. Towels were clean, however looked worn out.

Stayed for a weekend wedding and got way better quality service and experience than expected in this small town.
Outdoor water feature and glass facade set the ambience for a modern luxury experience at an accessible rate.
Stay for the Continental Breakfast and enjoy the charming town of Clinton (Main Street and Red Mill are just minutes away by car).

Make sure to ask for a room away from the bar, it is very noisy in the rooms above. Seems strange that a hotel would allow so much noise in a place where people are trying to sleep.

We stayed here for a wedding. Nice and clean hotel for a good price. No complaints!
