Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cakes0123 Location Seemed Like a Good Idea..BUT....
Hotel is clearly in the first processes of a dearly needed remodel. Once you get past the lobby, it feels as if you have stepped back in time to 1988. I can understand this but not the overpowering moldy mildew smell that over powers the entire hotel.
Thankfully, my room was sparred the moldy smell but even that's the best thing I can say about the room as it was another time capsule. The hvac wrecked havoc all night alternating from freezing to Saturn, and I had to literally hunt for a place to charge my phone. (In the end, I sacraficed the clock) Finally, after getting my work done on an internet connection that crawled I decided to order breakfast and leave the choice card on my door about 9pm. At 7am next morning, my 6am breakfast card was still hanging on the door. I did manage to make it to the cafe to grab 2 pieces of al a cart toast for $2 each slice and make it into my conference on time.
The best thing this hotel has going for it is location, it really is a prime spot sadly, thats pretty much it..I wont be back God willing.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by meatdowntown Remodel this property or close it down. Not up to Holiday Inn standards.
This hotel needs an urgent facelift and general renovation. It is incredibly old and in bad shape. The WC took almost 4 flushing trial to get cleared! That night was a storm and the ceiling in the room started leaking so the carpet was soaked. They seem to have a big problem with leaks because there was a lot of activity with towels everywhere. This is probably a regular exercise they do every time it rains because it looks like they known exactly where the problems are. I will not stay here ever!! There are many other choices around at competitive prices. I don;t care if I don't make points. My stay here was terrible!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AliTN Nice stay but needs upgrades to room.
Overall, a nice stay but would have preferred queen beds instead of full. Bathroom shower curtain would sag to the center of the rod (from both ends). Room temperature was perfect and noise level was quiet.

Nikita, Kateline, and Christine were absolutely wonderful. Great attitude, wonderful sense of humor, and great customer orientation.
I can't wait until the additions to the property are made.
We had a major wedding party and the dance was outstanding in the banquet room.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by goldmatters? Helpful and Friendly Staff, Great Tractor Trailer Parking
First of all, I must recognize Lora in Dining. She was the first person in the hotel that showed us kindness and served us our dinner and breakfast. Her friendliness and courtesy makes you feel so at home and relaxed. The second person, which I didn't get her name worked in the kitchen during breakfast as the cook. She was so cheerful and makes a really great and delicious breakfast! The third person is Christine at the front desk. She went out of her way to meet our needs. We had a room preference and needed to extend our stay. She was effecient and quick in solving our issues and she really help put us at ease.
The rest of the staff were all friendly and courteous.
The parking is great for tractor trailer parking. We had to stay for 9 days and what a relief knowing our truck was not blocking other guests vehicles.
Thank you for a wonderful stay! You all out did yourselves! Bravo!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CFgrateful Great Stay in Frederick
This past weekend was our second trip to Frederick and second time at the Holiday Inn Frederick. Our stay was every bit as pleasant this time as the last. I was concerned at first because there was a motorcycle group as well as two wedding parties there but we didn't even know they were there. We were all the way down the hall away from any noise and we were able to sit right down to breakfast without waiting both mornings. The pool on Saturday night was empty except for two children who came in a little after us but they were no problem. The pool area is beautiful and the water is very clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet has everything on it you could want for a nice, hearty breakfast. We will definitely be back...hopefully near Christmas time. Frederick is a gorgeous town with plenty of shopping, restaurants, etc. This hotel is within walking distance to FSK mall, many restaurants, and a five minute drive to the downtown area. You won't be disappointed staying here.
