Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Warm welcome and superb room Excellent service from warm friendly staff. I had the opportunity to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms. The decor was to a high standard and the bed very comfortable. The workmen had unfortunately switched off the power to the room; when I rang reception to ask for assistance the issue was resolved immediately and the Manager followed up to apologise and to check that I was ok. The team made my stay one of the best I have experienced when staying at an IHG hotel October 8, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good food, rRiendly staff and great location... We use Holiday Inns a lot and this hotel was up to usual high standard. We had a refurbished room - they may all be now - which was very modern, clean and kitted out. Because it is a city centre hotel and presumably space at a premium the rooms are a bit small. The lounge/bar area is a bit cramped and not too relaxing but great staff make up for this. The food was excellent - both dinner in the Bonne Auberge Restaurant and breakfast. The location is great for a City Break. Would recommend and will use again. October 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Delightful stay with excellent restaurant and great staff As someone who used to travel about 48 weeks a year, for around 15 years, and who still travels a lot for pleasure and for some independent consulting, I've stayed at many hotels, eaten at a slew of restaurants usually avoiding the hotel restaurants, and have dealt with all sorts of hotel staff, from cranky and nasty to OK and kind of like their job. The stay at the Holiday Inn Glasgow - Theatreland was by far, above and beyond, one of the best, extended stay business trip hotel experiences I've had .. if not the best. Don't mean to be rude about the Holiday Inn chain, but they are OK and I have stayed with them a lot especially in the past decade what with the newer Holiday Inn Express hotels and with the renovation of many of the older Holiday Inns. But it's not usually a brand I would choose first. This particular Holiday Inn was nothing like I expected at all ... non-sterile ambience, immaculate and squeaky clean rooms and environment, impeccably trained and highly professional staff who obviously take great pride in their hotel and their work, and one of the best restaurants I've eaten in, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Oh those dinners ... wow! .... simple, perfect, French style cuisine amazingly prepared and affordable with a friendly (but not overly cloying, "Hi, my name is Becky and I'll be your server tonight" awful American style friendly) wait staff that works together like a true team. This particular Holiday Inn is up there with seriously high quality competitors. And a great location in the middle of Glasgow. I've traveled all over the U.S. and all over the world ... this was up there in my top 5 favorite hotel experiences, and by far, the best hotel restaurant I've ever experienced. Actually, just one of the best restaurants in my experience ... period. This place is delightful and a treasure. October 1, 2015
