Rooms were great, air conditioning was great, breakfast bar had a large number of choices (love the Holiday Inn Express cinnamon rolls). All of my fellow employees were happy with the breakfast.
The hot-tub and pool were so enjoyable after a long day of work, always clean, and tons of towels available (rare at most hotels!)
At check-in, Zach thanked me for being a Platinum member and offered me the choice of bonus points or gift bag of water/snack. I opted for the points, but based on past experience at OTHER hotels, I knew I would probably have to follow up for months before receiving the points... I even debated to myself whether I should just take the water and save myself the frustration.
WOW, imagine my surprise when I received an email from IHG--*while I was still here at the hotel* that my welcome amenity points had already been deposited! While at the front desk, I mentioned how terrific and on-the-ball the person managing the points program is and to thank the person for an outstanding job as that had NEVER happened before! Happily, Katie said Zach was the one responsible and he happened to be there to hear my comments.
Zach is an excellent representative of the IHG brand and is a real gem at this hotel--he deserves a raise!
I will definitely stay and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Harrisonburg/I-81 corridor. [Less]
