The holiday inn in Houston s-ngr- med center is a wonderful place to stay while going to md Anderson cancer center. The shuttle service is wonderful getting you there and back and taking you to dinner, errands etc. close to the med center and rice university. The hotel is very comfy after along day and everyone is helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good complete with waffles the shape of texas :) that was enjoyed by our group :)
WE had a problem with the room and the manager took care of it promptly and above our satisfaction.
The only problem with this hotel is the handicap bathrooms. All toilets need to be raised as soo many coming here are here for medical issues and the bathrooms could be more accessible.
Book early to get a total accessible room til then. We enjoy staying at this property when in Houston and look forward to our next stay.

Beautiful room with refrigerator and microwave. Tub was dirty the first day. My keys didn't work. When I arrived back at the hotel the second night, the room had not been cleaned. When I told the front desk staff, they sent someone up who gave me more shampoo and cream rinse.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Al-76 Houston stay for post-op doctor visit.
I had requested a roll-in shower, but at least the bath was handicap-accessible. The supper menu was poor, several of the choices were unavailable, and the food we settled on was SO bad. But, the next morning's breakfast was quite satisfactory, and the wait-staff was way better in the morning. We were glad to find a lunch cafeteria at the hospital, because we weren't going to risk an avoidable meal at the hotel. This experience was unusual. as we have often stayed at Holiday Inn and H-Inn Express in other locations and been well-pleased.

From the moment we walked through the door you would have never guessed it was our first time to visit. Everyone we encounter had a sincere professionalism. Their willingness to help make our stay comfortable was impeccable. Also, offering the shuttle back and forth to Texas Children's Hospital is worth it weight in gold!
To everyone we encountered during our visit, THANK YOU, for your dedication and making this trip a little easier during our visit. We will be seeing you again, soon!

Nice, recently renovated hotel at a good location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
A significant inconvenience for us was that the hotel's guest laundry consisted of only one washer and one dryer.

The hotel is very clean and service is excellent. The staff make every effort to ensue the stay is pleasant. The dining areas are convenient, clean, and service is excellent. However, the prices are high. Overall, the stay was enjoyable but would suggest finding a dining area away from the hotel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tamara1971 Hidden Fees
The hotel itself was GREAT. The hidden fees however were NOT so great. It's quite a shock when you are traveling with 3 kids and 2 adults so you get adjoining rooms only to be hit with double the fees. The $50 that was deducted for each room "just in case there's damage" is ludicrous when you already have said credit card on file to charge it if need be and you took it out IMMEDIATELY but we have to wait 3-5 days to get it back..... Just crazy and I have YET to understand what it was the $35 was taken out for for each room. Also the maids walked right into my kids room without even knocking. Unacceptable.
